Very impressed how it came up as I was worried about it being too white, however it has a greyish tone to it. Can't help with the home hub is hubby is wiring in ours after handover. 1sttimebuilders - congrats sounds like things r moving along nicely, hope the rain doesnt cause too much delay in bricks for u. For me, nothing inside can start until both the roof (and eaves, gutter, fascia etc) and all the bricks are done. In the end, weather will hold everyone up at some point Paddington 29 @ Blue Horizon Estate (Lot 105, Wattleridge Crescent, North Kellyville) Our Build Progress Blog: http://light487.wordpress.com/ Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9186Jul 07, 2015 7:05 am light487 One good thing about your build, 1st time, is that your house was wrapped so you didn't have to wait for the other stages to complete before they could start on internal stuff. Can't understand why they don't build it the same.. Maybe its to do with weather.. Our SS did say they can't wrap the top in windy/stormy weather as it will just fly off. Our roof is also done before bricks up here.. so we have upper and lower roof, gutters and facias, electrical, plumbing, air con rough in, gyprock, plaster and cornices inside. Kitchen booked for next week. So stairs will go in before that. Our bricks start this week and will take 7-8 days total. We are 9 weeks into our build today.. So I think thats awesome progress so far. Hope yours picks up now your bricks are finished light487. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9187Jul 07, 2015 7:13 am Yeh me too.. though they said that they will need another 3 weeks to get all the outside totally finished.. so I'm not expecting anything more than that. Well, I posted a blog entry about the new bricks with a picture of the first couple of courses of bricks on 30th May. Bricks were completed, according to my SS, on 4 July. So let's call it 4 weeks. There were delays in terms of weather but there were also delays in terms of them estimating the wrong amount of bricks and falling short. There was also minor delays for the raising of scaffolding as well. Brickwork is complete now but they still need to clean the bricks as part of the process. With a single storey house, with no weather problems or ordering problems, I'd guess you could have it down in under 2 weeks. We saw our neighbour's house start bricks after ours, but they were finished before our second storey was finished. And because they had the roof done before bricks, they already had gyprock going in last week too! I have to remind myself, however, that we are building a bigger house with 2 storeys and even if the house was the same size, it's still 2 storeys and there is more setup work involved etc Paddington 29 @ Blue Horizon Estate (Lot 105, Wattleridge Crescent, North Kellyville) Our Build Progress Blog: http://light487.wordpress.com/ Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9190Jul 07, 2015 2:02 pm Gosh as we are approaching the completion, getting nervous if the finished place will resemble our understanding of inclusions etc. We are building Sheridan 34 (Incl rumpus & alfresco), with oxford facade. This facade has timber pergola within part of front porch. Did anyone get this facade? If so, what color is the timber pergola? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9191Jul 07, 2015 2:44 pm We are doing the gallery facade. The picture they show you has render, stone cladding, etc... Off memory I think this would have cost $5k extra just to render the front facade and even more for the stone cladding. The only reason we found out was I asked if our facade would look exactly like the picture and the answer was no Building a modified Madison 39 with Clarendon Homes in Tennyson homeone link: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79106 Blog Link: https://minandb.wordpress.com/ Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9192Jul 07, 2015 2:46 pm [quote="K K"]Gosh as we are approaching the completion, getting nervous if the finished place will resemble our understanding of inclusions etc. We are building Sheridan 34 (Incl rumpus & alfresco), with oxford facade. I hate that they do that with the facades. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9194Jul 07, 2015 3:26 pm Leese I plan on getting them in the following rooms - - Office - Family - Theatre -Bedrooms x 4 - Upstairs Lounge I'd rather get them all sorted in the build than have to try and add extra's in later. Yes Wifi will still work but for computers/TV's etc I'd rather just have them all installed. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9195Jul 07, 2015 3:31 pm leese So where did people get data points??? Thanks Building a Modified Madison 37. It's done as part of the electrical appointment or by contacting the electrical people if you have already done electrical appointment. If you have a dedicated theatre room, I'd be considering multiple data points there.. you can of course just get a giga-switch to go in the tv cabinet but that's another device, with more wires, and another power point taken up etc Paddington 29 @ Blue Horizon Estate (Lot 105, Wattleridge Crescent, North Kellyville) Our Build Progress Blog: http://light487.wordpress.com/ Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9197Jul 07, 2015 4:25 pm [quote="K K"]Gosh as we are approaching the completion, getting nervous if the finished place will resemble our understanding of inclusions etc. We are building Sheridan 34 (Incl rumpus & alfresco), with oxford facade. I don't remember them mentioning the Timber Pergola and a colour choice? Whereabouts is this located? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9198Jul 07, 2015 4:31 pm Cat83 Hi KK we are also building the Sheridan 34 with Ocford Facade. I don't remember them mentioning the Timber Pergola and a colour choice? Whereabouts is this located? It's located behind the main parapet where porch entry is. If you stand at your porch entry and look up, you will see the timber pergola - as it's called on the drawings. Is your build at that stage yet? the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6690 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant. The Dept of Fair Trading would love to see this one! Do the gutters pool water after it stops raining? Although it's… 4 7822 Thanks for your reply. I will just wait and see I guess.
