Also what changes did you do? And if you take it home for a couple of days to think about it and when ready to sign do you need to go back to the office ? Or can you send it from home? We had to go to the office to finalize and sign off everything as well as pay the deposit - it wasn't too much of a hassle as we're close to the office. Might be a consideration for you if you have to travel far. We ended up going back on a Saturday and we had the same person meet with us for the tender and contract. After contract signing, any changes to the house did not have any admin fees except for tiling who charged it separately - I think it was 250 - was well worth it because we did change a lot of things. So very important to make these changes before you go into construction. We were told that we only have 8-10 weeks to once gyprock goes in. This happened last 2nd April - so with no progress happening at the beginning of each week, work seems to be only booked from Wednesday onwards, this leaves Clarendon less than 7-9 weeks to complete everything. Just with all that I'm hearing in the forum - can't see how they can deliver in time... Definitely happy for Clarendon to prove me wrong Building Sheridan 34 (38 after upgrades) @ Kellyville, NSW Check out our Clarendon Building Progress Blog Homeone Topic: Clarendon Casadream Build Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 14107Apr 15, 2016 5:16 pm mrrrrt cruise007 there was no work done for us during easter week & no work in past 2 days too.i feel u. We are finished painting this week and we have probably about 5-6 weeks to go. Our gyprock probably finished 2-3 weeks back. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 14108Apr 15, 2016 5:19 pm k3nnis ok thanks for the info. I wonder if clarendon use in house architects or do they outsource? Definitely inhouse, when we were there for several appointments they'd go upstairs to ask about a certain feature with the architects.. I wonder if clarendon use in house architects or do they outsource? They have a drafting dept. I think some of them are pretty useless given some of the issues on plans I've seen. We took our contract home and they gave us an express post envelope to send it back in (we are in Newcastle). Bricks were finished today.. except we guess when cleaning up they have knocked bricks off the soldier course above the garage Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 14111Apr 15, 2016 9:30 pm Tilers for main floor starting tomorrow!!!! About ****** time!! Now to stall the delivery of furniture once again that was ordered in January. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would still be in construction in April! argh! Our SS has had tradies there every day. If only they worked at this pace from the beginning. We would be settled in our new place by now. It definitely is a plus if you get the same SS from start to finish. Hope Clarendon can sort that out. Carpentry fit-out according to our SS should be finished end of next week - the carpenter was not feeling and as a result wasn't able to be come in as expected. Some doors were installed today, front door was delivered but was not installed. External laundry door was installed but was the incorrect door - raised this with the SS and should be easily addressed. 2nd stage water proofing is booked in middle of next week and tiling the week after from the 26th April.... bmitchel - will touch base with you on your progress. I certainly wouldn't complain is Clarendon is able to handover the house in 7-9 weeks. Supposedly our air-con duct flow is acceptable. We are to be provided a report to confirm this. Still waiting on multiple little defects to be actioned. They have a month though... Congratulations!!!! A month should be enough time! How did you get your 'confirmed handover date'.?We have nothing confirmed just approximates- walk through in last week of this month and then keys a week or so after that as long as the bank approves the interim OC. I need something more concrete though-I'm trying to coordinate furniture deliveries and removalists. So stressful I need this to be over with. And has anyone claimed liquidated damages? We are definitely due for some / a lot!!! We are definitely due for some / a lot!!! Our site supervisor said he would give us the date earlier in the week. I guess it is subject to bank valuation as well. I will have to ring and change a few furniture deliveries as well We have our appliances, air-con, glass balustrades, etc in, so really all they have to do now is defect rectification - and that's without us having done our final inspection. Let's hope there's nothing on it! I think it's a must with all the problems we've had. I thought they deliver appliances after handover? Our valuation is all done but the bank just needs the interim OC which is organised once all the certifies have approved the works. Can anyone tell me when they received theres? I'm hoping for a quick turnaround from PCI to handover but I don't want paperwork holding things up!!!
