Wow look at your time line we are actually doing a Knock down of our current property - got the council approval within 2 weeks. We currently at cdc with CLarendon which 10 days is up today but that doesn't mean much. Had our tile appointment last Friday at Narellan nice place could have spent thousands there. Congrats on getting to production stage where are u building and which house? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 202Apr 23, 2013 12:01 pm Chilly Rubyam. Not long now and you'll be in construction Today actually marks the one month anniversary of our build commencement! Our plan is below: We made very few changes which can be seen in the electrical plan i'll put in below If you ever want more info you can see stuff on my blog. Hoping you guys are in by christmas you have a better chance than me and nlov. We are building the Paddington 31 with quite a few changes. I emailed our rep Rebecca yesterday as cdc was 10 days yesterday and she said they havent heard anything as of yet....figures... not happy...Jan hopefully it will get quicker soon. Just a quick question, how do you paste the pictures on the page as i try doing it yet wont work for me...and im not even blonde. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 204Apr 23, 2013 2:59 pm Rubyam, Just had a look at your blog... wow your tiles for the bathroom are the same as ours, well our ensuite anyways, hubby picked the other bathrooms.heheh your kitchen made me laugh 12k wow thats not bad...ours is wait for it......over $30k lol well 14k is allowance the rest is from our own pocket. will finish reading your blog later:) Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 205Apr 23, 2013 3:21 pm Chilly Rubyam, Just had a look at your blog... wow your tiles for the bathroom are the same as ours, well our ensuite anyways, hubby picked the other bathrooms.heheh your kitchen made me laugh 12k wow thats not bad...ours is wait for it......over $30k lol well 14k is allowance the rest is from our own pocket. will finish reading your blog later:) CHilly, it just means we have good taste in tiles haha!! OOOOOH! i would have loved to have spent that much in the kitchen It's nice to know you're not compromising on what you want though, that's important! This will be hubby and I's first home so we're on a really tight budget as we also have to furnish everything (apart from our bed and couch for theatre room!). Hubby and I joke; i got the kitchen and he got the video game room, a nice compromise ahaha! We are hoping to be in by Christmas, yesterday was our one month anniversary since construction had started.. that being said our frames have been on site since friday and the carpenter hasn't touched them .. we've had gorgeous weather!! Our windows and sliding door were also delivered yesterday too.. cmon carpenter, get on that!! If you notice our timeline our CDC took ages!!! so frustrating! but hopefully things will get moving for you soon just remember the build time should be about 5months so if they get their butts into gear, you just never know ok so to post in the forum you need to either copy the picture url from a website and put it between 'img' tags . if the pic/plan is on your computer you need to upload it to tinypic.com or imageshack or photobucket first and then copy the link it gives you after you upload (usually it will be an img link or forum code) .. then copy and paste and there you -Rubyam Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 207Apr 24, 2013 7:49 am rjc786 Garage door is on, facade isn't quite done yet though. Looking good!! Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 208Apr 25, 2013 2:44 pm Did a quick trip to the site today and our framing is coming together nicely. The SS thinks it will be completed by tomorrow, so we'll see. He advised they will then work on the roof trusses and putting the roof tiles on first, then bricking. We're Building with Clarendon in a new estate called 'Brooks Reach' in the Illawarra -Rubyam Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 212Apr 26, 2013 10:47 am Yeah, i think most of the builders down this way have the same fencing company.. they must get a good rate I am just happy we have a fence!! i Have seen some lots in our estate with piering and slab stages going on without any fencing at all. That would stress me out big time!! Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 213Apr 29, 2013 8:21 pm We received our 'Frames' invoice today (ouch!) so did a quick trip after work to see how things were looking.. If anyone knows what the thing highlighted in the second picture is, i'd be grateful to know. It looks like another sewer inspection point thing, but it is right where our future decking is going to go, so I'm thinking surely it can't be that.. Bricking is set to commence tomorrow (if the rain holds off!) -Rubyam Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 214May 05, 2013 10:13 am Bricking started yesterday No movement on site today: I assume they were just giving time for the bricks and morter to settle. Rain kicked in late this afternoon so i am not sure if we'll still be meeting up with our SS on site tomorrow. UPDATE We had our Site Supervisor meeting on site on Thursday 2nd May. I will highlight the key points below
*We will lose a week of work now as the brickies are tied up with other jobs; he is sure he can make that week back later down the track *SS decided to get bricks done before roof tiling. More bricks will be delivered this weekend *We can keep leftover bricks and roof tiles, we will just need to move them to the back of the lot before clean up happens on site *Estimated date of handover.. 3 MONTHS!!! WHAT!?!! That would mean a total build time of 4 months (as opposed to the allocated 5 months) But we know a lot can happen between now and then so we're not holding our breath. *SS said that if there were extra powerpoints we wanted (on parallel walls) he could arrange it with the sparky when electricals go in *SS is happy to have out carpet/tile and blinds company come through and do a check measure once we reach lock up stage *Our bank has contacted SS to arrange an inspection before bank releases funds for frame invoice *Howard Ryan (HnK Ryan) has made contact with SS to arrange for the first of 2 private inspections we are having. HnK Ryan will come through when gyprocking starts *Cowl won't be installed on tiles for ducted R/H, a pipe will direct it out to the eaves so it's not visible *The stormwater pit: SS showed us the copy of the hydraulics report that he thinks we should have received. The stormwater pit is actually meant to be further across, almost in line with our bedroom window; he thinks the plumber was lazy and has put it where it is so he didn't have to dig in under ground to have it flow through to the main drain. This will eventually be moved. *We found out what the 'silver' looking thing in our backyard was... A sewer vent!!! What the heck was the plumber thinking when he put that there? It is right outside our sliding door and huge 'family room' window. We told the SS that that is where our future decking is also going to be, and we don't have much of a yard so we need to use every bit we can. When he had the hydraulics report out earlier i also noticed the sewer vent wasn't on there in the location it is. The SS said he will follow up with the plumber and have it moved to the back door area near the laundry (which is quite a common location for sewer vents to be). I was out on site today and bricking is about halfway done!! The sewer vent and stormwater pipe are still to be moved (so i am still feeling anxious about that) but otherwise things are looking good. So happy about the lovely weather -Rubyam Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 216May 09, 2013 10:07 pm Rubyam looking great! Keep on them about the stormwater being moved. Congratulations again. Woohoo!!! Were there many issues with your PCI or anything like that? I've seen Loz+Doug's list on thier blog -Rubyam the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6793 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
