Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 8142Jun 03, 2015 7:43 pm Ours is definitely 1020 but the corianthian website doesn't show it.. so not certain if height is 2040 or 2340... I wonder where it says it on our plans or other documents.. Our 1200 is on a hinge.. thats what the above brochure is... only those 3 are available to be on hinges and not pivot. Not sure if there is a difference in weight or not to others that go on a pivot. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 8144Jun 03, 2015 8:01 pm Ahh! I found it on my colour selection sheet: PURB 04 (BAL 12.5) 2040mm(h) x 1020mm(w) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It's this one but will be in this colour, which is Taubmanns Regal Blue: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We didn't want a fancy door at all and we found this one was nice with the routered pattern on both sides. Maybe that's why you need to have hinge? No.. we have no BAL at all.. We just wanted a 1200 door but didn't want a pivot as they scare me with our little kids. So just asked if we could get one on a hinge.. which I knew you could because my friend just built and got the exact same door we ended up choosing and hers was on hinges. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 8148Jun 03, 2015 9:22 pm I wonder why they up sell us the pivot? I love the look of it, didn't even realise it was any different to a hinge door I thought Pivot was cause of the large width. We have teenagers no small ones... Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 8149Jun 03, 2015 10:07 pm Bal rating of more than 12.5 states that you must have a hinged door and not a pivot door. I'm not sure on the actual difference in price between the hinged and pivot, but we went with pivot because we wanted the width. I think we paid around $1,300 for the upgrade. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 8150Jun 03, 2015 10:13 pm cheryl_2105 We have our vanities and kitchen going in today. Is it normal to install the bathrooms and laundry cabinets before tiling? I've also got an updated quote from EHI, as now looking at them doing blinds. What are people's view of blind colour compared to walls? Do you want a contrast or for them to blend in? Hi Cheryl, As with anything, it comes down to personal preference - what you like the look of. If you're interested in the current trend for interior design though, it is to contrast your wall colour with your blinds, rather than trying to match them. The exception is in a small room - if you have light walls, also having a light coloured blind will assist in not making the room look any smaller. I hope that's helpful. Regards, Naomi Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 8151Jun 03, 2015 10:52 pm Roomeat Anyone building with Clarendon.. Have you purchased your own tiles for wet areas? Even if purchasing direct from Beaumont? Just wondering if this is possible? Personally.. I cant see what the problem would be but I am sure their would have to be some reason stopping a bloke from doing this lol In NSW it's a 110% NO. I begged and pleaded for this, because my hubby wanted the exact same tiles in the wet area's and main floor area's. Tiles Direct (NSW supplier) had nothing even close to what he wanted - he wanted something very specific, and they just wouldn't budge. I told them I was happy to get no credit back for the tiles, and to have their tilers lay them, but it was still a no. I even tried pleading with Tiles Direct to let me source the tiles myself, have them buy them and charge me a fee for the extra, but it was still no. The explanation I got was "I have to warranty the tiles that go in, and I won't warranty someone else's tiles" Building modified Wentworth 33 with a detached granny flat http://nortonbuildingadventure.blogspot.com.au/ Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 8152Jun 04, 2015 4:04 am KandRCH Congratulations Jayjay. Building the Fairmont 38 with upgrades @ Castle Hill NSW Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 8157Jun 04, 2015 6:38 am Yeah we added the grand alfresco with the rear balcony as well. Pretty much exactly as on display. We asked for the home theater but our block is 30 in length so we couldn't fit it. We didn't mind as much seeing it's only me and my wife. Wat about u?
