Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 7982May 31, 2015 7:06 am rmjose18 Hi klb over 25k for a 80 sqm. Of which 45 was ready concreted and the remaining needed steel posts. This is not wood it's decowood. Does Decowood work out cheaper than timber?? You can get this for gates and everything yeh?? I was thinking of getting my side return gates made from this stuff. Maybe I might consider my alfresco and porch also. If I can find someone on the Gold Coast who does it. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 7984May 31, 2015 9:38 am Jayjay I think u r right! But the good thing is no maintenance.. Whereas with timber uou would have to sand and stain and oil it every couple of years ... We got it purely for convenience sake.. We both have high pressured jobs and hubby is constantly travelling so we r very time poor! Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 7986May 31, 2015 5:45 pm Ive been told most of those products scratch easy though. Is this decowood more durable? Who's building with Clarendon?? 7987May 31, 2015 6:51 pm How was your day at the Show ?? I had a few things in mind to look at. One of them was the wireless Panasonic intercom, which I ended up buying. Also looked at Heatstrip for alfresco What are you doing for heating outside rmjose18 ? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 7988May 31, 2015 7:54 pm SB heatstrip is what we are Thinking of. The panasonic intercom looked awesome. Hubby already got something called skybell. Home show was good! We purchased a safe and blocked this guy to cover the extended alfresco and found a guy for the stone feature wall for the facade! And we've convinced ourselves to buy a outdoor jacuzzi that will happen next year though! I can imagine all the big parties you will be having once the house is done! Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 7992May 31, 2015 9:38 pm We had our colour appointment a week ago. We are building the Madison with the gallery facade. We have decided to go with Moondust bricks with off-white mortar and a feature brick on the balcony using Eclipse. Our cladding colour was originally old silver, but after getting out the sample pots we have changed to Flotsam, with Monument gutters and window frames and Sanctuary roof tiles. We are doing Surfmist on the fascia, capping and garage door. We are hoping to have a timber door as well. Inside we have gone with Winter Ice as the interior colour. Has anyone else used this and have photos? I'm not sure whether to go back to the paint pots to check it. We had our son in tow, so it made it more difficult to take our time with things. Totally missed out on seeing anything to do with awnings, which was what one of our main checklist items was. We did see some different blind ideas that has given me an idea of what to do with our windows. Saw a few other cool things that we probably won't bother with.. overall though, we had a good time there. I wanted it and was told clarendon don't do balconies over living areas...have I been told a porky? We went to the show too and saw some great ideas but now I'm even more overwhelmed haha. I so want the home automation system! For those who have done plantation shutters and/or private inspections we were quoted $220/m for shutters and $1350 for 4 inspections from Jim's. Are these good prices? They seem reasonable Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 7995Jun 01, 2015 7:48 am MinandB how did you convince clarendon to do the gallery facade on the madison??
