Anyone managed to get their own appliances and installed during after construction but just prior to handover? wingzee Just an update - CSC mentioned that there is no credits back for going with the following: - Laminated flooring (Platinum) over tiles and; - Mirror splashback over tiles for kitchen Did read some posts previously that some managed to get some credits back for both but no luck for us unless we are able to provide the job number for those who managed to be credited back Anyone? We got CDC approval and have pretty much signed off everything except for: 1. Colours (consultant reverted with quotes: Smeg's steam combi oven was quoted $3k - Ikea's AEG-equivalent is only $1.2k, will try to get appliances done post-handover; bidet wall-faced toilet suite + changes to ensuite of $2k) 2. Kitchen (got YHK to revise their quote as they came back with $32k for upgrades in Kitchen & cabinetry in Laundry! - bulk of the costs being handleless $3k, Createc finishes $3k and cabinetry + stone benchtop in Laundry + broom cabinet $5k) 3. Blinds (EHI quoted $14k for double blinds throughout all window + stacker door coverings + 3x Amplimesh security doors to Laundry & stacker doors) - gonna see how much can we save from items above before reverting Hope to sort out everything in 2 weeks' time so that they can commence the build. Our SC doesn't think its necessary, but all other builders do it? Really appreciate some feedback! -B Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17035Mar 31, 2017 1:40 pm Spart bumblebee1985 Spart I gave ET as a CSC and she is just as useless. Grrrr That's disgusting, we have a cost of $4500 for piering due to a street tree and they said it is PA and might come back lower, but now I will make sure if I need to do it. Really appreciate some feedback! -B this is not standard. you can pay zurcorp to have all the connections to the house done.from memory it's close to $700. i didn't do it. having said that, during my preline meeting, apart from telephone connection, I saw two black cables from side of the house to my smart hub. 1. Telstra Cable 2. Telstra TV. I can only assume Telstra Cable is the NBN pre-wiring not the connection it self, i could be wrong here. Anyone have NBN installed by Clarendon? Our SC doesn't think its necessary, but all other builders do it? Really appreciate some feedback! -B I read about new development NBN connection and understand that if your site developer have run NBN for the whole estate assuming you buy a lot from it, then you need to have NBN equipment installed for your house and you can request builder to do that. If the estate doesn't have NBN available, then you can wait till your suburb has NBN and the equipment will be installed free of charge. So far i have found several things that don't comply with BAL or Marine Grade specifications, even though I have been charged extra for the upgrades. I didn't get a private inspector, I check myself. Such as.. Window/sliding doors not complying with bal specs - 5mm/6mm toughened glass. External vents to be copper piping in lieu of pvc pipe. Render mortar/cement not marine grade. They only used standard general purpose cement. Colourbond roof screws not marine grade. Left over R1.5 wall batts used in some parts of roof (roof batts shoukd be R3.5) And...a few other little things... the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6850 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant. The Dept of Fair Trading would love to see this one! Do the gutters pool water after it stops raining? Although it's… 4 7983 |
