I have tried everything I can think of to get them off. Any suggestions? We are about to build with Clarendon again and if I can't find something to clean this off I won't be getting this sink again. Looks so bad all the time. We got the standard sink in our colour selection last month and it looks nothing like that. It is now dropped in the bench. Looks so bad all the time. Vinegar will remove the marks. It's likley to be from chlorine or bleach in a cleaner reacting with chromium in the metal. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16145Oct 02, 2016 7:08 am We have tried vinegar. It doesn't work. Must be. Not that we use bleach or any cleaners. Just water and a microfiber cloth and we use just a standard Palmolive dishwashing lIquid into the sink. So not sure. Never had this problem in other houses. Might have to upgrade my sink this time so we don't have this problem again. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16148Oct 04, 2016 6:35 pm Hi all. First time builder and poster. Looking at builing Clarendon's Fairmont 38 in Sydney. Anything in particular I should look out for with Clarendon? Apparently they offer a fixed price qoute, which is great because i HATE surprises. But is it really fixed priced? We like the Fairmont design but we'll be making some internal wall mods. Anyone else build the 38 with them? Your 2 cents are appreciated. Cheers Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16149Oct 04, 2016 9:17 pm We are about to build the fairmont 38 in Qld (we built the Sheridan 38 last year which we just sold a few weeks ago) we made changes to the plan. We are building Fairmont 34, check out my blog etc. I wish I'd made my wir a bit smaller and bedroom and ensuite bigger and I'm sure some other things Good luck Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16152Oct 05, 2016 7:12 am Thanks 1st time builders and Bowie. Both of your plans look really good. You've made some interesting changes. My biggest worry with building is that I'm told one price then for some reason or another I end up paying much more. Is it really a fixed price? Any experience with this? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16153Oct 05, 2016 7:34 am Mojo1 Thanks 1st time builders and Bowie. Both of your plans look really good. You've made some interesting changes. My biggest worry with building is that I'm told one price then for some reason or another I end up paying much more. Is it really a fixed price? Any experience with this? Our surprises were tiles, carpet and electrical. We had $25-30k worth of upgrades just in these three items. If you stick to the standard tiles and carpet you wouldn't have this. Electrical I would put in a decent provision ($10k) as most people will not have one PowerPoint and light in each room. We have fairly upgraded most of the stuff...all the best with your building Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16156Oct 05, 2016 5:09 pm Mojo1 Hi all. First time builder and poster. Cheers We asked for the site testing to be completed prior to the contract being signed so there wouldn't be any surprises. They were fine with that as long as wherever you're building allows access. You can stick to the included packages and then you keep the real cost but when you start making structural changes and upgrading and adding the colour consultant's suggestions just forget any budget. But that's with every builder. Moving internal walls doesn't incur much but external walls cost a fair bit. Doing certain things after handover such as flooring, blinds and driveway is certainly cheaper but then there's benefits of doing them with Clarendon too such as warranty and having it done by handover. Good luck! It's an exciting journey and incredibly stressful! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82062 Madison 37 - site start 16.2.16 Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16157Oct 05, 2016 5:11 pm We got keys!
