We are doing tiling and carpeting after handover. Much cheaper as Beaumont always has sales and clarendon will charge standard rates

But more like a 1.5 garage? Yeah closer to a 1.5 garage Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 15969Sep 13, 2016 10:08 pm MJKP Hey all, been a recent follower for the forum. We are building the Parkhill 29 and have had several admin issues. I am wanting your help on an issue that we have We received final constructions plans and variation plans to sign off and complete. We were told in an email that only AFTER receiving these plans would admin go to production and order goods. We wanted to make changes and were told a $250 admin fee would be applied. We advised that we would pay the admin fee and wanted to go ahead and did not sign. And they told us any variations now would delay our build up to one month. The following week they commenced construction. I am now told I cannot make any changes whatsoever. Is this right? Can they proceed to production without us signing? The original email said we had to sign all documents before it was done I am hoping I could get some feedback from you all. Thank you MJ Hi, We successfully made one variation after we had started the build. Our change was door handles throughout, upgraded cornices, changed cabinetry colour and wall paint colour. Tried to make kitchen island wider but they wouldn't allow. We paid $1000 admin fee. Good luck! So relieved to know that you were able to make the changes during construction. I have a feeling it is the customer service consultant wanting to refuse it. She has not been helpful during this process at all. I'll update tomorrow once I have gotten a reply. May I ask what stage of the build process you requested the change? Love your build so far and colour choices! We have also chosen the Oxford Facade Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 15973Sep 14, 2016 7:44 am Hi MJKP I would personally be pretty upset if they had started construction without my signing off on final plans, ESPECIALLY if you had advised your CSC beforehand you wanted to make changes! I would be requesting the admin fee $1k to be waived and refuse to pay the slab invoice until you have the changes requested in writing along with no admin fee. Hi BK84, I was told that they would stop construction if I didn't make payment. Called the Site manager yesterday and he said that they were starting to put the frame up already The CSC we have had has been awful. I will update as I receive news. How is your build going so far? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 15975Sep 14, 2016 8:55 am Sorry to hear you've had a sucks CSC. I guess we were lucky and although we went through 3, they were all pretty good. I would make the argument that you hadn't signed off on final plans and if there are any errors you pick up, Clarendon will be liable because they went to construction without your approval. Along with the fact you had wanted to make changes prior to starting the build anyway. Our build is going slowwwww. Haven't been out in about 3 weeks cuz we feel there would be no point if there's been no progress. The last time we visited they had just delivered the bricks for the front. Who knows if they've been laid yet lol not holding my breath Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 15976Sep 14, 2016 4:38 pm Hi All, We have signed the contract and waiting for appointments. Does anyone know if Waterproofing is included in contract or its an additional thing to have ? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 15977Sep 14, 2016 5:39 pm falcon86 Hi All, We have signed the contract and waiting for appointments. Does anyone know if Waterproofing is included in contract or its an additional thing to have ? NO IT IS NOT INCLUDED!!! We learnt the hard way that the regulations state 'should be' in the shower recess not 'must be' like the floors and joins. Definitely worth it and we don't have it 😡 Building a Modified Madison 37. In QLD waterproofing to wet areas is included on all ares... not just the joins. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 15980Sep 15, 2016 8:09 am Did anyone get charged massive amounts of money for removal of fill from site? I got a variation through yesterday in which just to dig the on site retention Pit, Clarendon want to charge me $2300 to remove the dirt they dig up. the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6844 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant. The Dept of Fair Trading would love to see this one! Do the gutters pool water after it stops raining? Although it's… 4 7970 |
