We also did and she has been an absolute gem - I believe she had organised our plans to be sent to CDC and followed up with them to have approved within a week. We were also over our tender expiry date by about 3 months and she helped negotiate this so that we didn't pay extra interest. So far, the admin side of things has been a good experience but I am being realistic and do not expect our actual build experience to be quite as enjoyable. If you'd like to check out our build, our link is: http://ourferndale31.wordpress.com - appreciate any tips or advice to keep an eye on along the way! Also, I've heard of a few people getting their own private building inspections done. I saw in our CDC document that they need to be contacted to also do critical inspections along the way too. Can anybody give me more info about this? I feel that if CDC are doing their own, do we need to then also pay extra for another inspector to come along? Thanks everyone! Hi bk84, Yes I had RA for my CSC but now changed to JO. RA was great when I had her as my CSC. Cheers. the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6746 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
