I'm unsure if I'll do a review or not at this stage. For us, the build experience has been reasonably enjoyable. As it has gotten closer I've certainly been a lot happier obviously. Our SS has been pretty good. He's been contactable most of the time and pretty responsive. Only negative thing I'd say is he hasn't been proactive in telling me what is happening in the build, its always been when I call him. The build quality is pretty good. We had a vinyl door installed upstairs that my wife picked up a small scratch on, which she was actually happy to live with. I mentioned it to our SS today of which he mentioned it was being replaced. It got replaced during the inspection today, so he was already on top of it. So if I write a review, and I wanted to give it a high rating, I'd have to ignore the admin phase, as that was incredibly frustrating and was a pain to deal with our CSC. Our SS did a great job though and gave us a house we are very happy with in the end. Who's building with Clarendon?? 14692May 16, 2016 11:28 pm Update on our build, painting continued today. Every build is different and every builder has its good and bad. Some more positive than others. It really depends on your site supervisor and the tradies. We've had 3 supervisors which has obviously had an impact. I can't say that our experience would have been different with any other project builder. Some people have had their houses built before their contract expires..some like us are well over contract. At the end of the day our house is beautiful but it has really tested my patience. All the best! Our land was registered on the day we signed with the other project builder so we have incurred significant holding cost. My neighbor who is building with Clarendon signed the tender in December the same day as us and their slab has already been laid. I am aware that Clarendon have done soil test. Can anyone tell me how long before they invite us for tender presentation? My neighbor who is building with Clarendon signed the tender in December the same day as us and their slab has already been laid. I am aware that Clarendon have done soil test. Can anyone tell me how long before they invite us for tender presentation? It was approximately 2 weeks between getting a soil test & survey done and signing our building contract. The dates went like this... 6/7/2015 Land Registration 16/7/2015 Notification of when soil test can be done, soil test booked in for 24/7 21/7/2015 Land Settlement 24/7/2015 Soil Test & Survey 29/7/2015 Received Soil Test Results 3/8/2015 Received Contract Drawings from Clarendon 6/8/2015 Tender Presentation / Signing of Contract Keep in mind, there were a few months between choosing our house design and make changes to it etc. There weren't really many changes by the time we got to our tender presentation. Good luck! Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 14699May 17, 2016 10:00 am Hi All, I was wondering if anyone here can give me feedback regarding polytec sheen for the kitchen cupboards and drawers. Is it worth doing the sheen? It's gonna cost me around $1300 for all cupboards and drawers in both kitchen and butlers pantry. CREATEC ultra glossy will be double that. Is the sheen worth doing to matte will be fine? Thanks, K. There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6723 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
