Excited, that's the feeling when finally the start pouring the concrete for our Slab. After 19 months since we bought the unregistered land, Land was registered late November have to wait for the Christmas break before they do anything to our plan. Waited, waited then finally our plans are out but then again another hurdle, have to be submitted to Blacktown council because of motorway proximity, this adds another 5 weeks, have to consolidate plans another two weeks, plus another week from the bank...another wait, Easter holiday. And finally today, concrete being poured as i drove pass our site before going to work, construction is Real. Woohoo! So excited for you and Minnie! Thanks Kim...at least we are one step closer, we just hope everything will go smoothly as we are also preparing ourselves for uncertainties, to the unknown. Psych yourself for one hell of a ride I for one highly doubt I'll ever do this again! But I am excited to get a new house! Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 13914Apr 06, 2016 11:44 am We are a battleaxe block so we have to have a turning area so you can drive out of the driveway forwards. More room for the girls to ride their bikes Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 13915Apr 06, 2016 11:46 am KLB We are a battleaxe block so we have to have a turning area so you can drive out of the driveway forwards. More room for the girls to ride their bikes That's a good way to equate it. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 13916Apr 06, 2016 12:07 pm Met with the driveway guy at the house today to get some ideas. Got to take a look inside since the ruler was there. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I'm really concerned about the location of the flick mixer. It is supposed to be to the left, a little bit to the right of the end of the recess. With it all the way on the right, I don't see how the shower screen and the flick mixer are going to co-exist very well. Just seems really sloppy and makes me really mad. 1) Why the @#$^$#^ can't they just follow plans? Stupid plumbers 2) Why can't a tradie think for themselves or a tiler for that fact and say.. hey this flick mixer looks to be in a stupid position.. what is the go guys, is this correct? um.. nope doesn't look like it.. wow huh Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The grouting is to be finished today. Painters supposed to start tomorrow but could start as late as Monday. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Little concerned with this. Tiles I'm guessing ain't been finished for a reason. The outlet at the top doesn't look to be in the right place (to the left wtf??) and is the only reason I can think tiles aren't done there yet. Floor tiles don't get laid until after the painter is done. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 13917Apr 06, 2016 12:33 pm bmitchel Met with the driveway guy at the house today to get some ideas. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 13918Apr 06, 2016 12:36 pm The tiles look great bmitchel but I think you're right in that last photo, the shower outlet looks way to the left. One thing we've discovered this build is most tradies don't give a damn about whatis right or wrong, they just do whatever! One thing we've discovered this build is most tradies don't give a damn about whatis right or wrong, they just do whatever! Its just dumb. They will have to go back and fix stuff up because its not according to the plans. This adds time to the build, which we don't really have at this stage! This is something the SS should have picked up however IMO. I'm going to force the issue on the manhole soon in the WIL too. If he reckons people will be able to get in with shelves there, then I want the shelves in to prove the practicality of this. I don't see it being possible. the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6726 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant. The Dept of Fair Trading would love to see this one! Do the gutters pool water after it stops raining? Although it's… 4 7847 |
