Are you aware of the special installation instructions for a 5mm airflow gap in the front of the cabinet?
It is illustrated in the user guide available from westinghouse website and apparently people have had warranties denied when this gap is not present.
I provided the user manual to clarendon and they informed me they will install according to it so we will see... (can't really see how they are going to do it haha)
Did they state what the model no. is of the induction cooktop? The one they listed down for us on the PCV has been discontinued, but I can tell you right now, if they want to charge me $1600 they'd want to make sure it is the latest model.
Let me know how you go. We don't start building for probably another 3-4 weeks. I'm still yet to hear back feedback on why it costs so much given you could almost buy one new for that price.
They originally quoted the old one (phn...) but i told them to chsnge it to the new one which is WHI something i believe. They agreed.
Very interested to hear your outcome RE the price as i had the same objection to my CSC.
They apparently fit in the same hole as std however it is the 5mm air gap that means i couldnt just go and install induction after handover.
