Re: Re: Custom Build @ The Summit, Mt Barker- locked up+kitc 84Aug 08, 2011 9:36 am I love your plan, it is fantastic and what a beautiful block. We are at about the same stage and I would hate to be locked out now. Our builder gave us a key on friday so we could go in when ever we want, I thought that would be standard. By the way I love your kitchen, It looks huge. Ps your stalker photo from the window is great - very arty! By the way I love your kitchen, It looks huge. Ps your stalker photo from the window is great - very arty! I would love to have a key but we generally can find a way in! Not that day though! I didnt think they liked giving the key as it is a safety issue, but how awesome for you! Im sure all of us would love 24/7 access . I am now trying to work out how much is left to do - my sis in law has just built with Oakford and said it was 8 weeks from lock up which is AMAZING ...if it happens. You just can't count on anything with building. But what IS left - tiling, 2nd fix electrical, painting, bullnose on, stormwater...anything else? Re: Re: Custom Build @ The Summit, Mt Barker- locked up+kitc 88Aug 08, 2011 1:08 pm wildorchid looks great, what colour are your kitchen cupboards? It is Formica Mulga - kind of a greyish brown. Thanks everyone for your kind comments - I have stupidly gone into a display home with the other plan we were thinking of and now I have 2nd thought about everything - totally sucks! So, I am grateful for some reassurance that everything looks ok...pathetic I know. moral of the story, once you decide on a plan DO NOT go to display homes!!! Time will tell though... We have tiling, electrical, painting and appliances left to do as well as stormwater...oh, and a bullnose verandah - all in 7 weeks...here's hoping! I like the colour you chose for your floor tiles. Very earthy and neutral. Looks like the boys have a huge area to play in outside. A basketball area sounds like a good idea. They'll love that.
