Hi, we are about to do electricals for our house and wow they don't include much in the package! Just wondering if these costs seem about right:
standard light holder $66
install light fitting $28
Supply & install downlight $128
internal double power point $72
external double power point $176
TV point $83
foxtel point $413
telephone point $83
computer point $83
dimmers $94
install ceiling fan $176
install heat/fan/light $198
install only - appliances - $363 for 20amp up to $875 for 50amp
smoke detector $198
seperate circuit for garden master $363
pre-wire for home theatre speaker $110 each point
to do what we want to do, we'd be adding on over $10k! We just can't afford that. Does anyone know if there is anything on this list that would be cheaper to do afterwards? or any suggestions how we can get around?
E.g. our SS will let us do the speaker cabling through someone else - would this be cheaper??
E.g. to bring an electrician out after would be it cheaper to do some powerpoints then (e.g. outdoor?) or fan then?
We want things like loads of tv points, a few phone points, fans, speakers, downlights, heaps more double powerpoints, but trying to see how to cut cost...
if anyone can compare what they spent, what they wish they did, what can be done cheap after etc.. it would be ever so greatly appreciated!
(sorry if this has been answered many times before, but i couldnt find it easily)
thanks!
