On the plan it has our driveway as stenciled within our boundary and outside it it has plain concrete. We were told that its a new rule. Anyone heard of this? Is this true??? You may be lucky and find out that they have all the rules online too (most councils do). From memory, our council has the same policy - however, by far most people put the same finish all the way. This means that owners are liable to reinstate the fancy finish (if they want to) in case the dwy gets damaged in the nature strip section. The "plain concrete only" rule is there to make sure that the council is not liable to re-instating the original finish in "their" section of the dwy in case they ever need to dig through it and it gets damaged. Do you know who is responsible for turfing the nature strip? I believe the council is since it is technically their land? Does anyone know what the procedure is in regards to this,as i really wouldn`t prefer to be paying for turf to be layed on land that isnt actually mine. Re: Driveways in Liverpool NSW 5Jun 01, 2011 2:46 pm Phillshz, you have to turf it, and maintain it as well (mow etc) Re: Driveways in Liverpool NSW 6Jun 01, 2011 3:35 pm joannapaulp Phillshz, you have to turf it, and maintain it as well (mow etc) Mowing i can understand as thats the norm. But having to pay for turf that isnt on my actual land is just plain rude How do you know that the council dont supply it if i may ask? Driveways in Liverpool NSW 7Jun 01, 2011 3:57 pm They won't pay to have it turfed because you can put bark or pebbles or leave it as dirt if you wish, however you must maintain it and if they need to do work on it then you will need to get it back to it's previous state... Instead of rolls of turf just use some grass seed! Any ideas on the price of kikuyu seeds to cover 30sqm and where to get them?
