Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 30, 2011 11:06 pm Hi Guys, A forum on building homes! I'm excitied!! I was wondering how much is reasonable to pay for a block of land to be surveyed? I've been quoted $600+$60GST for a 5 acre block. I've also been told that this needs to be done before plans can be drawn up for the house, and that $660 is the usual price regardless of land size. I've also been told that the land survey is valid only for 3 months and plans need to be drawn and submitted to the council in this time. So, is $660 for land survey rediculous?
