Re: Building a new home takes a very long time too get start 5May 01, 2011 1:31 am Good luck! We signed ours about a month ago and are having our master plans drawn at the moment, i cant wait till we get them back as then they can be sent to council which will take about 3 months and we are on a timeframe as the builders are from the city 300km away they only build in lots here and the next build is in August so im hoping we have no problems with council and it goes through quickly. No thread yet as we are still waiting on selections appointment and once we have done that i will start one. This is our plan. We have removed the 3rd toilet and turned it into a store room, removed the workshop and added a third garage and a couple of other minor changes (we were lucky as it was exactly as i wanted). http://www.hickinbotham.com.au/page/con ... s_type/208 Jasmin Hickinbotham Belmont - modified Signed: February 2011 Slab should go down before 2012 My build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=52310&p=799483#p799483 Re: Building a new home takes a very long time too get start 9May 01, 2011 11:39 am Very nice!! Cant wait if all's a ok will b ready too get things moving... Finger's and toes all crossed.... Re: Building a new home takes a very long time too get start 11May 01, 2011 2:54 pm Yayyyy. How exciting!! Make a list of all your changes that you have done and go over it with a fine tooth comb. We missed a few things in ours and they had also done some stuff wrong e.e. they had given us the double vanity we wanted but with only one hand basin. Little things like that. Read every word. Once the tender letter was signed and the contracts ordered, it will happen quickly I just re-read your first post and saw that it is your second house with them. LOL. You probably know all this Re: Building a new home takes a very long time too get start 12May 01, 2011 3:05 pm hello, its our 2nd home but first time with coral and our first home was built 18 years ago,so its like its all new too me again, and im so excited.... its not unlike the house we live in now just with a few things we want and its going too b NEW.... im soooooo excited.... In an ideal world where I have a money tree I'd put a lot of shutters around the place but realistic I might be sewing up a few myself. WE'll see. Congratulations!
