Does anyone know if there is a site anywhere which contains a complete list of which approval certificates we should receive once our build is complete?
We finished building approx a month ago and despite many requests to our builder for our certificates, we only just received them. We don't seem to have any plumbing certificates and some of the retaining walls (which required engineering) don't have certificates. One retaining wall has a "Form 15" but not a "Form 16". Not 100% sure on what the difference is between these two forms but it was my impression I should have one of each.
We are on the Gold Coast, QLD.
Any help appreciated.

Off the top of my head we received the following:
- fire alarm
- pest control
- Final Survey
- window glazing
- work as executed
With our retaining walls the certifier asked for the engineering specs and a certificate from the installer(not builder) stating the wall had been constructed according to the engineering and council approved plans.
I'm sure your council/certifier will be in touch prior to issuing occupation if you are missing any certificates.
I just built in Sydney so regulations may be different. Hope this helps anyway.

You are back at square one, unfortunately it doesn't give battlers any confidence In the whole build process There's only one thing worse than being ripped off and that's…

As Bec said, you can basically do what you want whether its go direct with a bank or with another broker. There may be other options out there now that weren't present…
