I just want to add that same rules apply for small and big builders, and we all pay to the same insurance companies, so no difference if one goes bust.
I know that some of you don't agree with the facts that i stated about project Builders, but all these are true, and i see those houses everyday.
Australian Standards and BCA don't make rules of quality, they only state how the things should be put together, quality of workmanship varies from person to person.
I know if i don't come to a job site at least once a day, some tradie will make a mistake and will try to cut corners, so i really don't know how big builders get away with it, most of their supervisors are smooth talkers and nothing else.
I know few people that are taking their project Builders to the Court, because when they compared their house to the one i built in the Neighborhood they rised the alarm.
I had a good laugh when i read this post:
* pay 6K and get 60K worth of upgrades
* free site cost up to 10K
* we will double your FHOG
* free stake knives.
Let me tell you something, this is called good marketing, and yes some people call it scam.
Project Builders make maximum 20k profit on each house, and do you really think that they gave you 70k extra just like that?
