We met with electrician to do electrical plan. I could have easlity got carried away but my husband was there to keep my in to line. We only added some extra powerpoints, tv points, spotlight and a few down lights. Still not sure of how much extra this is going to cost. Looking forward to going to the light shop to pick out some light fittings soon. Also get a quote on finishing the south side fence (regular colourbond) and adding fence and gates across both side of the house (mini corrugated). Does anyone have any other suggestions for types gates and fencing. I don't want regular colourbond and I like the look of slat fencing but I'm after privacy. Went to the house today to show my parents the progess and the bricks had been delivered. The windows are also due to arrive this week. I like lots of pics as well. dimo Mmmm bricks cant wait to see them start to go up as they are the same as ours Prior to colour selection we had planned to use a dark brown brick but then didn't want to pay extra to upgrade so went with brown terrain. The ones that have been delivered look good, I'm just hoping they get blended correctly when laid. Tamara1975 Fingers crossed we will both be all bricked up by the end of next week!! Looks great!! We've had a bit of a delay with our build, so I think you might beat me to be bricked up first. Only progress this week is windows arriving. Windows are now planned to go in next week and bricking to start after that. Going to mark in where we what extra noggins to go over the weekend. Enjoy your time at the snow, are you staying on the Mountain or in the valley. We stayed at Pinnacle Valley and I very nearly came unstuck on black ice just past Merrijig one morning (all that driving in slippery mud during my youth came in handy), later that same morning someone did come to grief at the same corner and took out the power for the Mountain and blocked the road for an hour or so. Staff at the resort said no serious injury but the car was a write off. I hope the weather is kind for you. Re: Building the Fitzroy - Bricks arrived! 34Jul 17, 2011 5:07 pm aslackigan Enjoy your time at the snow Been away at the snow. We stayed at Mansfield and were lucky enough not to come across any black ice on the way up or down. The weather could have been better but at least there was plenty of snow. I'm still recovering from some bruising and general soreness (the joys of being a beginner). I really enjoyed having a spa at the end of each day. This was was a last minute change from the original planned one as original was not going to fit due changed ensuite layout. In the late change we forgot to ask for the window to be frosted. Luckily it only looks out onto neighbours garage wall. But I think I'll need to look into stick on frosting or something. As it is near the shower blinds etc are not really an option. The wood around is also being changed to be more suitable in a wet area. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Next thing bricks.......................
