Framing started today! Framing started today, exactly 2wks after our slab was poured. I was speaking to our SS a few days ago & apparently they were meant to start last Tuesday but due to last weeks weather the tradies were held up at their last job. That's ok though, better for the slab & I wasn't even expecting until next week anyway. I have no idea how quickly frames go up but I was impressed at the progress made today considering all timber was cut on site & there was only three of them! It didn't cost much to upgrade though, can't remember how much exactly but it was cheaper than I expected & I think well worth it. Plenty of progress on the framing today & most of the internal frames are up so I could get more of an idea of the room sizes. That's one problem with a custom design, you have no real concept of how big the rooms will be. No pics today though, there are nails all over the ground so I didn't want the kids wandering around Will try to get some pics tomorrow. I might put aside some of the off cuts of timber tomorrow before they go in the skip (Yay, we finally have a skip!!) Has your build started yet? I will have a read of your thread Wildorchid, we were originally told the slab would sit for 4wks so when they started after 2wks I was pleasantly surprised. The wait actually flew by too which was a bonus!
