Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Gogo's build: we are in!!!!! 3601Aug 04, 2012 10:26 pm Hey guys sorry to disappoint you Has been a very busy day and just on my iPhone so I can say I have read everyones lovely comments and it is wonderful to see others excited for us. I finally sat down with a DH tonight and enjoyed 30minutes just looking at our house enjoying a glass of champagne. Two friends also dropped around and it was so much fun showing them around. I have a bed can't wait to sleep on it! the shop I bought my table from have arranged 10loan chairs for us, they wre clearly display stock and need a good clean, so will just have to accept the compromise and look forward to the new ones arriving. Have taken some photos but can't upload from the camera to iPhone, so will go back to the rental and upload tomorrow. I promise!!! I can't wait to show you all. Still waiting on the removalist truck to bring the last of out things on Monday. So not completely organised but it looks pretty good. Was very pleased that kitchen was unpacked by 1200 today, Lounges for front sitting and upstairs rumpus getting delivered on Thursday. Don't even have a TV yet Rocketship got a special SMS as we had lots of messaging happening about our cooktop and fireplace as we choose the same ones, that's all no favorites. Although I would have sent a message to sunshine and SC but I kept half expecting them to knock on our door. Oh and Vess had a quick tour this morning! So have my photos ready to go tomorrow-promise Re: Gogo's build: we are in!!!!! 3604Aug 05, 2012 8:08 am gogo65 Although I would have sent a message to sunshine and SC but I kept half expecting them to knock on our door. Gogo - I was BUSTING to come out!! We had a lot on this weekend, so I even wrote a list of things we had to do yesterday and visiting your place was written into the schedule. But Mat stayed at our site for longer than I expected. I was also wondering whether you would want the hassle of having to show others around your place when really what you wanted to do was unpack. Like a mum with a newborn - I tend to stay away until the dust settles - which applies even more aptly to newborn houses too (especially after the agony of your long labour!). But now I wished I had come after all, even if a mad dash. I wonder if I can squeeze it in today Nana has just offered to take the kids for the arvo so DH and I can be at site, but DH will be doing the door and I am too nervous to watch so maybe this arvo.... ooooh, too exciting!!! Still waiting on removalist tomorrow to bring the rest of our stuff, so theatre room lounges not set up, front living and upstairs rumpus lounges will be delivered on Thursday, so no photos there. Still don't have a tv, which is weird but not missed as we haven't had time! we are obviously very stresssed as DH has gone fishing just arrived at the rental and want or leave again, yuck yuck yuck, but my friends at H1, deserve more than that, so here I sit in a beanbag, in a yucky house so I can download photos onto the Internet. The things I do for you lot I know kitchen is the most important for pic piggies. I love it, it doesn't feel huge, when I'm in it. Still need dishwasher front put on, and we have loan chairs for the dining table until the new ones arrive. Still haven tot pantry door on, as they are waiting on the hinge. Bar fridge at end near bar stools is only there till we can move it into the BBQ area, but need plumbers to come back to do something with BBQ.Still need the sq aircon grate installed in kitchen bulkhead Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ [mig]http://i1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff468/gogo65/5d551bf1.jpg[/img] Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ fireplace, sorry about the mess next to it, the plumbers accidentally turned the valve to the fireplace off, so DH had to cut a panel in side of fireplace, turn valve on, retest it etc...luckily he is a licenced plumber/gasfitter and was able to fix it(DH actually installed the fireplace and left the valve on but the plumbers got confused, turned it off, then the gyprock went on) easy fix, DH says he needs an access panel, so all good. Fireplace is amazing, heats up they house so quickly Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Just the back living rom but taken at night, so photo not great Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ DD's room, she now has bedside tables and have bought a desk for her but still in box. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ DS's room, still a long way to go, but he wanted everything plain, still need to get desk for his room. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Main bath Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Now I don't have any of our bedroom as the bed was delivered yesterday but we only put it together last night and WIR is still a few weeks away, so are making do using old drawers etc. But I do have some of my ensuite Although we only have one shower rail installed, as they broke a tile installing the other one, the tile has been fixed but they had to wait a few days for the glue to dry, so will be back tomorrow to install, Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Oh and greenfish(I think it was you?????) look at what we got Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So we still need towel rails and rings in the main bath and DD's ensuite and downstairs powder, the suppliers sent the wrong ones, even though I was the one who ordered them, all good can live till tomorrow. Must take one of the front of the house and post Promise some more photos next week, not bad after 1 day!!
