Thankyou DCT Our DD's niche is 60x30( so we could fit just two sheets of 30x30 mosaics) and the bottom of it is 1200 from the floor. Hope that helps Re: Gogo's build- bath arrived but it isn't purple.... 2984Jul 05, 2012 4:06 pm Quote: Our DD's niche is 60x30( so we could fit just two sheets of 30x30 mosaics) and the bottom of it is 1200 from the floor. I was thinking the same thing. One SEXY bath!!! Oh please don't give my DH any ideas Re: Gogo's build- bath arrived but it isn't purple.... 2989Jul 05, 2012 6:03 pm Looking at it again now, the cleaning under the bowl doesn't look too bad at all. Funny - DH sat on the Kudo toilet in the showroom and exclaimed at how low it was. Not sure if it is unusually low, but DH is 6'4" so unless we pay for special toilets (which we are NOT) then he will have to just live with them. Coming along nicely gogo... It doesn't bother me at all so I never check, but you know my DH has a height phobia thing. You should see him walk near the fans in the light shop (we went to Beacon lighting today). Quite comical. Build Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43846 Re: Gogo's build- bath arrived but it isn't purple.... 2994Jul 05, 2012 8:12 pm I sat on the one we chose in the selection centre you will find that the soft close back-to-wall types have narrower seats becasue the lip of the lid goes all the way over the seat (like a box). I think they will be a bit more uncomfortable if they are being sat on for a long time We chose it anyway because I dont like the plastic screws underneath on the standard toilets (your builder has very good standard items - we had to upgrade to get a toilet like yours, about $300 each). My main concern is the narrow exit and the 'shelf' around the bowl - might get a bit messy? Some have more of a slope than a shelf, we took the cheapest back to wall upgrade. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Gogo's build- bath arrived but it isn't purple.... 2995Jul 05, 2012 8:19 pm Yeah, we just took this as it was standard, would have preferred it to be completely flush, but at the end of the day, it's a toilet and money is better spent elsewhere especially when you are buying four lucky DH is a plumber our bathrooms were completely tiled prior to installation so if it is uncomfortable we can change it without any problem. If our floors were tiled after toilets installed it would be a different story. They do have the nice soft closing seats though Re: Gogo's build- bath arrived but it isn't purple.... 2996Jul 05, 2012 8:34 pm Toilets ain't toilets. We didn't know what was standard but chose the same toilet. Dw selected it cause the toilet seat goes to the edge of the bowl all of the others they have the toilet seat sits in from the edge of the bowl lol. It was on special Matt liked the price so became the new zen standard (until it's back till full price lol) Re: Gogo's build- bath arrived but it isn't purple.... 2999Jul 06, 2012 9:55 am I sat on the toilets too That's what made me upgrade, the standard for us felt like it was really small. I also didn't like the bowl shape on the inside. Loving the thought that went into your shower niche placement. I just stood in the shower and said 'about here' to the builder. Didn't occur to me to consider tile size or anything like that. Worried mine will look rubbish now Re: Gogo's build- bath arrived but it isn't purple.... 3000Jul 06, 2012 10:27 am gogo65 Yeah until Matt tells sunshine it is no longer standard That was the only toilet he showed me but he told T mine was an upgrade, who knows not quite. He said it was still fine to be standard (and we are having the same Kudo toilet without paying any upgrade price). What he said was, there was another standard toilet (no idea which one) but some clients (I guess gogo and SC?) liked the Kudo and it was only $70 more than the other toilet, so it was fine to have that toilet as standard. I agree though that Zen needs to sort out their 'standard' ranges for things. In reality their standard range is way way above other builders' standard ranges. I wonder if the boys are making any money?!
