Thanks DCT, liking how it is starting to come together! So we had our alfresco tiled today, as well as undercoat on the door frames and cornice in the bathrooms. The travertine looks great, still needs to be grouted, then sealed, so no walking on it at the moment can't wait to see it around the pool as well, will continue all the way under the glass pool fence, the full legn of the alfresco, so will have a nice area inside the pool area as well:z: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Gogo's build- bath is in...sort of! 3050Jul 11, 2012 7:51 pm yay! looks great gogo! Are you feeling about it all now? Well clearly not going to be in this week but still very uncertain when we will be in, which is becoming very difficult. As much as things are being done, so much work is still required that it is actually quite disheartening, I have other things to deal with at the moment, so I just wish that the house just continued quickly and smoothly but doesn't look like it will happen... limesoda Wow! Looking sensational! What an awesome house you'll soon have! Your outdoor pool area sounds devine! Thank you limesoda, really looking forward to our outdoor alfresco pool area, we spend so much time outside, it was really important to get it how we wanted it Re: Gogo's build- bath is in...sort of! 3053Jul 11, 2012 8:05 pm I adore travertine! Would have loved it here but pockets weren't deep enough! Yeah it was tough on the pockets, particularly around the pool, we have to get some bits specially bullnosed by the stone mason as well SunshineT gogo - after my day today (and little falling out with M at Zen) I felt like I had a taste of what you have been experiencing (when things aren't as you had hoped, or as per tender / plans) ... It is a tough roller coaster, huh. Yeah it's tough T, particularly when you expect something but just let it go for the sake of keeping the peace and no delays. I honestly can say I haven't been excited going to the house for months, because things either don't happen when told, or when they happen soemthing is wrong, even when it gets fixed it just takes away the excitement. We just want to move in now! greenfish Gogo looking great, not familiar with travertine (surprise surprise I'm the most ignorant person on here I think) but love how it looks, and goes well with your bricks, very very jealous of your beautiful alfresco and pool area not ignorant just a steep learning curve, I have learnt so much on here which has been great, would be interesting to see what the house would be like if I hadn't found H1. Travertine is a natural stone, we bought it for a guy in Sydney, whose family owns the mine In Turkey, they import directly, it is beautiful and a great product outside, won't fade, not slippery etc Re: Gogo's build- bath is in...sort of! 3058Jul 11, 2012 9:50 pm Yeah, agree, WOW!!! I love the travertine, it is going to look amazing with pool, glass fence and landscaping.. Again, well done. That is the colour I am looking at too! Will check out Travertine, but maybe not be in my budget. Your outdoor area with the pool will look stunning.
