DH has looked at the building commissions brick tolerances and there is some areas where it does not comply, so will wait unutil we meet with the builder on site, I am sure they will agree with us, however overall we are very happy with the final look, still need to put on cladding upstairs and roof over third garage and front living room and alfresco, gutters and fascia delivered for that so I assume that will go up shortly Wowser thats some house gogo! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=46741 Clovelly - Masterton Homes 5% to M 290312 CDC 21/06 20 days 29/08 Slab 17/09 Frame 26/09 Bricks 24/10 Roof tiles 20/11 Re: Gogo's build- brickies finally finished!!! 1439Apr 04, 2012 10:44 pm gogo65 Well in preparation for the scaffold to come down, they have rendered our front portico today, I love how it makes the front stand out, will be painted in dulux Western Myall ( a dark grey) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also had a quick look at some of the new display homes and saw a shower niche the same as my DD is having in her ensuite, with white tiles Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And this is the same balustrade we are having with the dark timber stain Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Now I just have to hope the electrcian turns up this week OMG we have such similar tastes thats the balustrade I want. Can I ask was it very expensive? Cant answer the cost question, the way our builder works is you tell them what you want and the tender is done from there, so I always had a wire balustrade, stainless steel posts and timber handrail. As for our house, some more slow progress, gutters and fascia installed on ground floor roof today and the roof rails put up for the roof to be installed. Electriciam continues wiring. The electrician called me today asking about the kitchen plan, as he needed to wire the kitchen up, slight problem we dont have one, we met with the kitchen guy a few weeks ago and he has some basic drawings, but as yet, we havent seen the proper drawing to sign off on, as much as I can give hime a good idea of the layout, I would prefer him to have a proper plan to work off. So the roof has been on for nearly 3 weeks, and the electrical and air rough in was meant to take a week or so, looks like roof and cladding willb edone next week, not sure about air con and maybe the gyprock the week after that, so about two weeks slower than the original time frame we were given. Originally we were told early May for completion, we aren't even close to lock up:lol: I keep telling myself they have 25 weeks to build this house, I just have to sit back and let it happen, at least we have progress. Oh and our meeting we had booked with the builder on site today to discuss our bricks and a few other issues was cancelled, feel like I have been waiting forever just to discuss our concerns Oh and pool booked in to commence in 2 weeks, will miss out on that as I will be overseas I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15244 I am in the same situation, would you be able to give some insights in to this? I am in SA 8 17007 Depends what you're current inclusions are, but we're not including wardrobes and will just use second hand ones until we can save later on to get them built. Also have a… 3 11595 |
