Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our nest - any help/suggestions highly appreciated! 37May 23, 2011 5:25 pm Hi Fekish, Your updated plans are looking great. The kitchen looks a lot more open now. Our smallest room is 3m by 3m and it feels pretty cramped. Especially when we have a built in within that space. The next biggest is 3m by 4m and that feels a lot roomier. What's the next step after you finalise you plans? Re: Our nest - any help/suggestions highly appreciated! 38May 23, 2011 5:33 pm ours are 3100 x 3100 and they all have built in double robes. the rooms seem ok. the girls have a bunk from harvey norman with bookcase, desk, wardrobe and the drawers are STEPS up to the bunk, so the rest of the room is empty. We are thinking in the end to delete the shower , however if we delete that, the bedroom becomes even larger. - We always liked the WIR to have a door in the middle - however as the design is currently is not very practical to do it this way. Then when when all these are indeed changed and we are 100% happy we will proceed with getting the local permissions. This is how a first idea for changing the secondary bedrooms looks like... Laundry will be squeezed somewhere and door will be put of course to the veranda, if we like this plan in the end! The size of the varanda, can be extended by a bit in order to be about 2 meters width... Ok thanks, what we would have in those rooms: - Bed - Closet - Desk In the future probably there should be an extra space for a chair/cushion.. Definitely though the length of the rooms without the closet is 4,10m... If so what were the "special circumstances" under which it was granted?
