Anyone building in waralily coast area? How much is your site cost? My builder charged us a fortune for site cost Re: anyone building in armstrong creek? 382Mar 02, 2013 3:18 pm We are owner building in the coast vintage cheese. I will let you know what our excavation costs are, but the block is almost flat so we are not expecting it to be costly. Have fun with your build. Looking forward to see it developing. Re: anyone building in armstrong creek? 383Mar 03, 2013 10:04 am So just curious to know if people have settled in the first few stages of Warralily Coast area? According to the sales guys, works on stage 53 are going ahead of plan and titles could be ready as early as late May early June. Only speculation of course, but here's hoping! Re: anyone building in armstrong creek? 384Mar 05, 2013 9:50 am Has anyone heard anything more about the NBN??? I would have thought we might have recieved letters or something by now considering its supposed to be connected in less than a fortnight (12th Mar) for stages 1-4. I have noticed a few new small cabinets around which I'm sure are part of the NBN. Hope its not delayed again, 6 months using wireless has been beyond frustrating!! Also does anyone know what that annoying alarm is that goes off about 10 times a night from 6pm onwards??? It sounds like its coming from near the display homes. Bloody annoying!! My neighbor has a relative that works for Telstra who says that its been delayed to April. That's the only rumor I have heard. Yes, we do hear that alarm. I was about to go out last night and find the offending house so I could make a call some time. I don't want anyone outrageously expensive but someone who has done a great job. I am on a corner lot and so if anyone else has had the exposed capped corner fencing done too that would be great to hear who you went through if you are happy...any thoughts? Cheers. Re: anyone building in armstrong creek? 387Mar 15, 2013 3:31 pm Hi guys, I have some news re: NBN... Unfortunately nothing is happening until April, they have hooked it all up and are now in the testing stages, I was told that if everything goes to plan the first week of April is when it will be ready for us, however they also informed me that if there are any issues it will mean more delays. My Burbank house in Warralily Coast should be started sometime in the next week or two. My first house. It has been 14 months since I paid my deposit on the land. Good thing I wasn't in a hurry. Is anyone else building in Warralily coast at the moment. I noticed that the form work for one house has been laid and site works have started on several other blocks. Anyone building in waralily coast area? How much is your site cost? My builder charged us a fortune for site cost My site costs ended up being less than they had allowed so I got a negative variation to the contract which is great. I was expecting the site costs to go up because I had P class soil and a steep driveway. But they went down. Bonus! I had an email back from iinet today which stated that my address has come up on their database and I am able to order a service now and get the equipment installed. Waiting on a callback to find out how long it will take and when it should go live. Might be worth calling your chosen providers to see if you can place a service order now Re: anyone building in armstrong creek? 394Mar 24, 2013 8:11 am I can confirm that iinet was able to take my order for a service, which apparently means the nbn is now live as our addresses don't show up until the service is ready. Hopefully getting the equipment installed in the next week and then should be good to go and can finally stop using my mobile for Internet! Re: anyone building in armstrong creek? 396Mar 26, 2013 11:03 am jet How long before we realistically see any form of shops or shopping centre out there do you guys think? 2016 according to the sales office, whether its the start or end of 2016 I'm not sure, hopefully sooner rather than later. Looking forward to the proposed Pub/Bistro, I need a new local!! Odyssey Tavern on Torquay Rd is probably the closest now but could do with a courtesy bus for the locals!! Re: anyone building in armstrong creek? 397Apr 11, 2013 9:23 pm Has anyone got their title yet from stage 21 (first release in the Promenade)? According to the development up date the Statement of Compliance has been issued and the Plan of Subdivision has been released to the Titles Office. Titles Registration is imminent. This update was in March. I am in stage 23 and that is the next to be registered and meant to be at the end of this month ..... if stage 21 have their titles then I have some hope mine will be very soon. Just wondering if anyone has an old letterbox they don't need anymore or are willing to lend to us. Just need an old one to do us until we complete our landscaping, thought someone might have one that was in the same boat at some stage, would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Re: anyone building in armstrong creek? 399Apr 16, 2013 8:52 am Anyone building or built with Eight Homes? If so I'd love to hear how your dealings with them went. Good, bad & ugly?
