Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 09, 2011 5:36 pm Hi all, I am newby to the building world and now I know why I haven't joined earlier. I am realising that it is harder than I first thought especially when it comes to choosing colours. I am in the midst of finalising my colour choices to the facade and I finding it hard to decide. At the moment, I have chosen the following colours: - Render (Kosciusko Pebble - Wattyl) - Panel lift garage (Colourbond Paperbark) - Roof (Colourbond Woodland Grey) - Window (white frames) Do you think my choices are ok? I am now thinking that colour of the render and panel lift garage is going to turn out looking weird..?? I am now swaying to the idea of maybe just choosing Paperbark to be the colour of my render. If you have photos of your house where you have used the above colours or just used paperbark as your render can you please post them? So hard to choose.. I keep on second guessing myself.. Thanks in advance to everyone who responds.. Re: Facade Render - Colourbond Paperbark or Koscuisko Pebble 5Apr 09, 2011 6:42 pm It looks good doesn't it. I was worried myself and then I saw Nightshade's pictures and i'm glad I chose it. We are having dark bricks, so I wanted something to lighten the look up. Re: Facade Render - Colourbond Paperbark or Koscuisko Pebble 6Apr 12, 2011 1:19 am Thanks vtac and deb! Much appreciated, what colour garage did you use. Do you think if I use paperbark for the garage it would make the house look washed out?? Re: Facade Render - Colourbond Paperbark or Koscuisko Pebble 7Apr 12, 2011 11:07 am We are having Coaba Dawn, it's the timber look garage, our bricks are dark austral blackwood, roof is shadow which is a dark grey charcoal color, gutters monument, windows are merino, they match paperbark, our fascia is paperbark. If we didn't pick the timber look garage door we would have went with paperbark, which would have looked good also. What color are your bricks? If you drive around the new estates, have a look at the paperbark garage on houses that have a similar brick, roof as yours. So, i have dark coloured bricks contrasting with lighther trims very similar to ours, the lighter trims look great against the dark bricks, we were going to go with the paperbark garage but I just love the Coaba Dawn, paperbark looks good with the dark bricks too.
