Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 08, 2011 1:18 am Hi guys, I have done a few searches and have a rough idea, but all the information I have found does not seem to add up to our build!! Site start = 04/02 Base stage invoice = 25/02 Frame invoice = 16/03 (actually was a few days later, were expecting this at the start of the week) Lockup invoice = 23/03 Fixing invoice = 06/04 Our contracted date of completion is for Oct 25th, our admin has said it will definitely be earlier than this (I'd hope so!) but could any experienced H1ers give us a hand for how long we should be expecting? Searches indicate average time from lock up to handover is 10-12 weeks, but then from fixing to handover isn't 'long at all'. I understand that from completion to handover at the builder is roughly 2 weeks in itself to deal with paperwork, etc, but if anyone can assist with a rough timeframe that'd be fantastic. Everything we've been told has been thrown out the window what with tradies onsite on the weekends, receiving bills every fortnight, and new things happening every time we visit the site. I actually have NO idea when to expect handover anymore - we are optimistically hoping that we will get handover prior to end of financial year - is it possible that this may happen before then? I have also emailed our admin (fiance is also swinging by the house tomorrow as we didn't expect the fixing invoice for a couple of weeks) to find out what is the go - but our admin has also informed us that bricklayers will be "onsite next week" when they are halfway finished the job, so she's not 100% up to speed... viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37229 - our Iris 4! I see that you do cabinets before flooring. For timber flooring, for most parts it's fine because it's got base plates, and for door jabs you can… 7 11565 1 4697 |
