Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 22, 2011 11:19 pm We are just about to go for Complying Development Approval and are building with Eden Brae Homes, after emailing our client services officer today she advises that the land has to be cleared before site start. We have four trees to organise the removal of, but the existing neighbours and obviously others who see fit, are dumping grass clippings and rubbish on our block and the weeds growing are also around knee height. My question is, how much land clearing has everyone else done (if any) before site start and did you do this yourself or pay professionals to do it? We are building in Kellyville Ridge in NSW, if anyone else in the areas has removed trees from their block, could you please advise who you used? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Gemma Re: Kellyville Ridge - Clearing your block before site start 2Apr 15, 2011 7:58 am Hi Gemma, We are also building in Kellyville Ridge and had the same issue with removing trees, weeds, etc. We got a professional to get rid of the trees and just removed as much of the weeds that we could ourselves. I can give you his number if you like, his prices are quite reasonable. Where abouts in kellyville ridge are you building? Re: Kellyville Ridge - Clearing your block before site start 3May 23, 2011 11:49 pm Hi sunnybrae, I have only just realised you responded to my post, I didn't get an email to advise me that I had any responses so sorry for not responding. We have now had the trees removed and my hubby went over the block on the weekend with the whipper snipper, it's looking alot better than it did. We are building on Willunga Ave, Kellyville Ridge, what part of Kellyville Ridge are you building in?
