If you search on "gremmo" there should be a few threads Re: Gremm Homes 5Dec 27, 2007 5:02 pm I have heard of them. They build quite a few homes out my way (Hills District, Sydney).
I friend of mine had them build his home a few years back and was quite happy with them. I had them price up my previous house from plans I had drawn up but they were quite expensive compared to some other builders. They were excellent - very good customer service. The company is run by 4 brothers. When I sold the home, a building inspector from the purchaser found two small issues. I called the Gremmos and they fixed the problems 2 days later. I spoke to them before I started building again but they were out of my price range. They tend to use the best materials and therefore they are a fair bit dearer than your standard project home. For instance, the waterproofing they use in bathrooms costs an extra $2000 at least (cost to the builder) but the bathrooms are guaranteed not to leak for life. I can't compare Eden Brae (my current builder) to Gremmo Homes, but then Eden Brae are a lot cheaper too. Cheers, Jamie Re: Gremm Homes 7Dec 27, 2007 8:25 pm jamiet,
Do you find that Gremmo Homes have increased their prices. That is, were they a competative builder when you first build but now they've become more highly priced? Cheers, Casa Yes, they've gone up but I reckon they've gone up only proportionally as much as other builders from when I built the first time. Their inclusions list has improved markedly. Most of their homes are custom so it's hard to compare prices. I don't know the exact prices either....I just know the approximates. I know that a 40 square home would cost THEM at least $300K or more on materials and labour. Better roofing and framing members, better waterproofing and their own team of quality tradespeople. It all costs money. If you can afford them, go with these guys. Cheers, Jamie Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 8477 Maybe.
