Our house is almost finished now with only a few minor hiccups along the way. The first issue we had was when they installed our front water meter and tap they just happened to put it right in the middle of where the driveway was suppose to go. 
We soon got that sorted out and everything was fine until they delivered the wrong tiles for the bathroom but they didnt notice until after they had finished laying them. 
We had also chosen timber floors to go through the majority of the house and we selected sapele. But when it came time to lay the floors noticed a problem with the batch and told us to pick a different type or wait 8 weeks for a new batch, if it werent for our current living situation we would have waited so we selected merbau instead. 
We are so over the building phase of our house and just cant wait to be in, should only be a month from now. Heres some current pics for all to see
