Re: modified wild orchid / dechellis / SA - update pg 16 326Oct 05, 2011 8:40 am the door is a clear stain/varnish all the walls are pelt (solver) the doors/arcitraves are not finished yet......it is a little 'whiter' than i expected, so im not sure what the finished will look like Re: modified wild orchid / dechellis / SA - update pg 16 327Oct 10, 2011 3:49 pm met the guy from regency on-site today, to confirm positions for towel rails, toilet roll holder etc. and he put the shower screens in too.........the end is near!!!! just kitchen splashback, toilets, taps, sink and final electrical to go was in the house for about an hour with about 6 tile samples.....still cant decide what shade to go!!!do they look lighter when laid?? its a little hard to tell the colour on camera.....but heres a bit of an idea this is behind the kitchen bench, which makes them look really dark Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ this is in the family room (right next to kitchen bench) but in front of the long skinny window, so loads of natural light Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ this is in the front entry, natural light....but it was still fairly dark in there today Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: modified wild orchid / dechellis / SA - update pg 16 328Oct 10, 2011 3:54 pm wildorchid met the guy from regency on-site today, to confirm positions for towel rails, toilet roll holder etc. and he put the shower screens in too.........the end is near!!!! That's interesting we weren't asked where ours went until PCI .... Happy for your progress ... you've got to make a decision on your tiles ... time is running out! Re: modified wild orchid / dechellis / SA - the end is near! 329Oct 10, 2011 3:59 pm well i was actually surprised, because at selections we had a picture of all 4 walls in the bathrooms and specified then.....the guy didnt even have those plans! but we did have the towel rail above the bath at selections, because we added the 4 sided hob, they said there might not be enough room in the middle of the shower and bath.....but there was, so i got him to put it there yes....i know time is running out!!!!! Re: modified wild orchid / dechellis / SA - the end is near! 330Oct 10, 2011 10:02 pm Against your cabinetry I like the warmer one but against your walls, the lighter one.... So hard isn't it, we have just chosen ours, we ended up going with a tile from Italia, I think it's call Silk Cream - polished porcelain. Good luck! Re: modified wild orchid / dechellis / SA - the end is near! 331Oct 11, 2011 5:27 am I can't really tell which tile is which between the different pics but I think in the kitchen pic the middle tile clashes the most, in the pic taken in the front hallway I like the big tile on the right. I think you should just pick the tile you like the most without stressing about how they look against the paint too much. At the end of the day the tiles will be down alot longer & paint is easily changed. SS said yesterday PCI is 18/10, which is 2 days earlier, which is ONE week away!!!!!!! and handover is still the 27/10.......cant wait! Re: modified wild orchid / dechellis / SA - the end is near! 333Oct 11, 2011 9:23 am yeah fair enough, I can understand your difficulty choosing now! Eeek! 1 week to go!!! Very jealous....better pick your tile asap & book in a tiler as I imagine they will be busy in the leadup to the Xmas shutdown period. we got so many business cards from tile stores who they recommend, but i didnt like just picking one, not having seen their work Re: modified wild orchid / dechellis / SA - the end is near! 337Oct 11, 2011 10:25 am Oh that worked out well! I'm guessing you have seen inside his house & seen his workmanship. I thought there is only matt but your photos look gloss... Thanks PK Re: modified wild orchid / dechellis / SA - the end is near! 339Oct 11, 2011 2:39 pm hi sisterkey, it is matte, stipple seal is just the laundry (bench and cupboards), not the kitchen/bathrooms Re: modified wild orchid / dechellis / SA - the end is near! 340Oct 11, 2011 9:20 pm I like the lighter one So I'm just reading up on this ecosystem of lights.
