Re: Our build in Parkside Tarneit 23May 13, 2011 12:31 am Okay, a LOT has happened when we went to see the house last weekend. Mind you this was almost after more than 2 weeks....wish this was a lot closer so we could go pop by for a peek!!! So, we had the tiler guy working very very hard (on a saturday!!) He was getting the tiles ready for grouting. Kitchen installed, cupboards and kitchen bench. Really happy with how they look!!! the hallway - and what a wonderful front door!!! last pic for tonight is the front facade. I personally don't like the roof colour. but it might look better when brown front door and garage is installed.... **fingers crossed** Re: Our House in Tarneit, one more month and it's finished!! 24May 14, 2011 7:42 pm The tiles look spectacular! Nick really likes the brick and roof colour combo! It seriously is NOT poo brown With the timber garage door and the timber above the front door, it will look fantastic. It's really a great choice! But have YET to see anyone else with chocolate coloured roof tiles!!! Re: Our House in Tarneit, one more month and it's finished!! 27May 15, 2011 11:55 am DrMatt Looks great, and so amazingly fast! You must be chuffed. Thanks DrMatt!!! It seems even quicker to us b'cos we only get to go see the site once every week or 2 (i'm busy studying and bf works 7 days). I just had a peek through your thread aswell. Great choice of colours and house plan!!! Colour's still great! Looking forward to seeing what happens next! Re: Our House in Tarneit, one more month and it's finished!! 29May 19, 2011 9:48 pm So we finnaaallyyy had a chance to go see the house, however by the time we reached there it was dark but luckily I had my awesome camera with me so I flashed the place up! Everything with our builder has been sooo soo smooth, it's been amazing!! They've been extremely straight forward with us from day one and very planned. So we're very pleased However, we noticed tonight that the feature tiles we'd chosen for all our bathrooms - the ensuits have those tiles missing. Will speak to the builder and get them to fix it!!! Other than that, we've had lots of progress. Walls painted, doors on, garage door on, all tiling done, downlights looked beautiful it's so so so exciting now!!!! I'll post the pics up tonight once I get a chance to upload them. Re: Our House in Tarneit, one more month and it's finished!! 30May 20, 2011 12:03 am Ok I'm only putting the pics on for the external of the house for now. Will be adding the rest later on when I get some more time. First up is the garage: 2 different variations taken at night time. And it will look even more gorgeous in daylight LOL our "mock-up" temporary solution to the front door. Kudos to them for matching it well to the garage though!! haha Back of the garage and that huge heap of junk is where our alfresco will go. The sliding door looks amazing (which was an upgrade to a larger size) and we can't figure out what the top part of both doors (garage and sliding) is...Couldn't look into much detail since it was dark outside!!! But has anyone had something similar put in with theirs? Re: Our House in Tarneit, latest pics!!! 31May 25, 2011 9:35 am WOW thats been a very good build hasn't it! It's coming along really well, bet you're really excited to be in it soon. I love the 3 narrow windows at the front too, they look great. What's the name of your kitchen benchtop? Re: Our House in Tarneit, latest pics!!! 32May 25, 2011 11:49 am cheerupcharlie WOW thats been a very good build hasn't it! It's coming along really well, bet you're really excited to be in it soon. I love the 3 narrow windows at the front too, they look great. What's the name of your kitchen benchtop? benchtop is called basalt pearl. and yes, can't wait till it's all built!!!! although I don't move in there until we get married :S Re: Our House in Tarneit, latest pics!!! 33May 25, 2011 11:46 pm the infill above the doors is often standard, it is just a quick and cheap to fill above the lintel and is usually painted similar colour to the guttering. the roller door to rear of garage has the often upgraded brickwork infill. it looks a little awkward doesn't it to have a different infill there, than the other two doors. it would have been written on the plans, but i guess it is easily overlooked, especially if you are not aware, or looking out for it. pos Re: Our House in Tarneit, latest pics!!! 34May 26, 2011 12:46 am Thanks Pos. We don't like it...maybe if it was a similar colour to the bricks, it would have looked better. But definitely overlooked that part of the plan!!! things like these are almost necessary upgrades!!! which makes sense for builders to have it included initially... guess next time round we'll be much more knowledgeable!! Re: Our House in Tarneit, latest pics!!! 35May 26, 2011 9:47 pm I know!!! for me personally, when looking at the in-my-dreams-mega-mansion-displays all the ensuites were open to the bedrooms, I'm sure the builders do it on purpose! Surley, the majority of people would want the ensuite closed off...oh sir, that'll be an extra $xyz to add doors. to which you'd reply, I'd like glazed doors, ... ih yes ma'am, no problem, that'll be an extra $uvw LOL! I guess that is how the buisness of building houses makes money! Some of the standard stuff is really something so naff that it has to be upgraded...the infill is one of those things! Re: Our House in Tarneit, latest pics!!! 36May 30, 2011 1:58 pm Pos I know!!! for me personally, when looking at the in-my-dreams-mega-mansion-displays all the ensuites were open to the bedrooms, I'm sure the builders do it on purpose! Some of the standard stuff is really something so naff that it has to be upgraded...the infill is one of those things! lol and that goes on and on. But we're lucky in that sense that our builder had most things included in the package comparatively to other big builders (not naming anyone in particular!!) I guess that's one good thing building a customised home with a medium sized builder. Do you have a building thread Pos? I had a quick look at your posts but couldn't find anything Re: Our House in Tarneit, latest pics!!! 37May 30, 2011 2:21 pm Ok so we have a front door!!!!!!!!!!!!! For now it's wrapped up but looks absolutely gorgeous!!! Bf only got a chance to take a picture from the inside. So I haven't written much on here for a while!!! But we are now officially at the last stage of building process. Builder's finishing up on some electrical and plumbing. All the sinks, toilets, mirrors, taps etc are in. Things that need to be fixed: - only one bathroom has the feature tile above the sink, the other two ensuites need to have that fitted in. - the toilet seat provided is not the one we'd chosen!!!! So have asked the builder to look into that and change it. Apart from that, everything else is pretty spot on. How long did everyone stay in this last stage until pci/handover?? Re: Our House in Tarneit, we have a front door!!!!!!!!!! 38May 30, 2011 4:10 pm Howdy all.. nice to see another Parksiders on the forum. Im in Hogans road , and just up to brick stage myself.. I've visited your blog a few times. We're hoping the build to finish by end of june/start of july. Not long to go at all!!! Re: Our House in Tarneit, we have a front door!!!!!!!!!! 40May 31, 2011 12:31 am Ok so I'm way overdue for adding some pictures!! I know how much I love seeing pics on other h1 posts!!! Excuse the horrible quality of pics!! (generally Iphone is pretty handy). Living room view from front door front door and kitchen looking from master bedroom (sorry it's a bit blurry) meals and family area basin without the feature tile, looks almost incomplete!!! can't wait till it's fixed. shower. for some reason I think that feature tile should have been running in between the shower area...so it aligns with the drain...not sure. bathtub of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 23903 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 24020 |
