Wyndham Vale. 2Mar 13, 2011 5:01 pm Hi We have been living in Bluestone Green from close to the start (moved in 2006) We are happy with it especially since the new shops opened up. There is also a reasonable bus service into Werribee. Don't know about schools as our children are long past that age. Regards The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! You can meet some more of your neighbours here viewtopic.php?f=31&t=19556 Anyway - we built in Bluestone - moved in December last year and I have lived in Wyndham Vale my entire life - so it's home to me! One thing that you will see that most of us were delayed with the release of our titles - so one thing I would suggest is speak with Sunland regularly about the progress of your stage - we were one of the lucky ones that signed up with our builder close enough to the land release not to be charged extra price capping on top of our build price - but so many people were penalized from their builder. Good luck with your search for a new home! Any questions I'd be more than happy to help a fellow neighbour Sleven Moved into our Atlantique MkII 36 by Carlisle Homes Re: Anybody live in Blue Stone Green? Well, the land was meant to be released in November 2010 but it got pushed back to April 2011 so we are hoping it definetly gets relased!!! We have a driveway now, and we were speaking to the construction guys the other day and they said 6 to 8 weeks the new area should be ready! We are hoping to build in August or September... We are totally in love with a Porter Davis home, we have looked at soooo many displays we find outselves back at the original one that we love. Is Bluestone a quiet area? Many Hoons? I did see Aldi and Safeway there thats great especially because we could walk there, What school is around? We dont have any children but im sure when we do we will still be in blue stone, I saw the childcare centre close which is also handy being a childcare worker! Do you know what the Optus mobile service is like? We may need to change to Telstra as we did get told telstra has lines in there...... I could possible ask a million questions hahaah!!! Thanks again for the reply, greatly appreciated!!! Re: Anybody live in Blue Stone Green? Re: Anybody live in Blue Stone Green? Wyndham Vale. 8Mar 31, 2011 8:42 am Hi yamanoj, It's good to see you on the forum. To answer your question, site costs are dependant on the block so it's difficult to answer generically. For a more accurate estimate of your site costs, it's best to speak with a Porter Davis Sales Consultant who can offer you an estimate cost when they present you with your quotation. Most importantly, I would like to direct you to the Porter Davis Simplicity Promotion includes a certain amount of upgrades & up to $10,00 off site costs. You can download details of the promotion on the Porter Davis Website: http://www.porterdavis.com.au/#/simplicity There is also more information on the Porter Davis Simplicity promotion on our blog: http://blog.porterdavis.com.au/index.ph ... implicity/ plus, there's a general info page including a video on site costs here: http://blog.porterdavis.com.au/index.ph ... e-costs-2/ If you'd like me to put you in contact with a PD sales consultant, feel free to send me your Name & Phone Number & I'll happily organise this for you. I hope that helps, Cheers! Jess. Porter Davis Homes Questions? Wyndham Vale. 9Mar 31, 2011 9:17 am Hi PD Team, Thank you for your reply. That video on site costs is excellent. I am already at the second tender stage with some other builder. I obtained a fixed price quote because of my land got delayed. Even they did not provided the exact breakdown when I calculated, site costs were more than 25,000. So now I am waiting for my land to release and decide what needs to happen if they come up with big site costs based on the soil test. I have already studied PD houses and will be my next option if I decide not to go ahead with my current builder. Can PD provide fixed price for site costs with out a soil test? Thank you, Manoj Re: Anybody live in Blue Stone Green? Wyndham Vale. 10Mar 31, 2011 9:30 am Hey there newcomer. I am building in Bluestone Green as well. Its been fantastic to be able to come on here and make friends who are also building near by. (you know who you are.lol) I have been living in Wyndham Vale / Werribee since 2003 and couldnt imagine living anywhere else. School wise, there are a few great primary schools and a couple of public high school close by. There is a primary school that should be started down our end of Bluestone in a couple of yrs. As for private high schools. thats a drive away. Best private schools are in Bacchus Marsh Grammer (bus) or locally is near the Werribee plaza called Heathdale christian College that takes from prep - yr 12. Best Shopping is done at the Werribee plaza thats about 10 min drive away. What else???? Forrester 43sq We have our keys (3/6/11) Now it's time to decorate (that's the fun part.lol) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37598 Re: Anybody live in Blue Stone Green? Thank you, Manoj Hi yamanoj. I'm glad you found the site cost video useful! To answer your question, site costs are dependent on the block so a soil test must be done in order for us to give you a estimate of your site costs. However, Porter Davis currently has a promotion called the Porter Davis Simplicity Promotion which includes a certain amount of upgrades & up to $10,00 off your site costs.
