Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 09, 2011 1:06 pm Hi my wife and I are building our first home and have run into a problem. The landscapers have formed up for our driveway and there is a Fire Hydrant in the middle of it. The hydrant appears on none of our plans and has obviously been missed by all concerned. The builders opinion is not my problem just pave around it. I'm afraid the yellow doesn't fit our colour scheme:) What the he'll do we do? Re: Help!!! 2Mar 09, 2011 1:13 pm is the fire hydrant a fire services one that is on your nature strip? If so I think you have to leave it there. if it's just for your water services i think you can look into having it moved but only up to approx 1m. what stage are you up to in yoru build? can you change plans or have you already started building?? Re: Help!!! 4Mar 09, 2011 4:48 pm and this isnt on the plan when you brought the land. check that sheet carefully as everything should be marked on it. if it isnt i would go to the land developer and try get them to put it somewhere else (preferable not on your block) When times get tough build a house...Our second build Hi there, long-time lurker but first time posting. Do you have access to NCC Part 2 or can you download it? I can email you a copy… 10 12509 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7157 |
