p.s. no cooling promotion under current "dare to dream" promotion too

Blog: http://prestigebuild.blogspot.com.au Re: Building a Waldorf or Marriot by Porter Davis 8002Aug 07, 2015 9:17 pm sliick I've just checked my last weekend and there is a big sticker on it that says HX35i. You also get it in the brochure / manual that comes with it. As for the question someone asked about how good the add on cooling is... it's like living inside a fridge! I've previously only had evaporative cooling and this thing is amazing. It's really loud from the outside though.. poor neighbours. But yeah, we had it on during Feb / March this year when it was 35+ degrees and it worked really well. Highly recommended. Thanks for letting us know about the sticker and manual. The sticker is probably obscured by the roof trusses. I'll make a trip into the roof cavity after hand-over just to make sure. Scott, must have done well with the first build. Congrats to you! The PD process should be less stressful for a seasoned pro 2nd time round! Although, from memory, didn't sound like there was much stress for you 1st time anyway 'Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.' Blog: http://prestigebuild.blogspot.com.au Re: Building a Waldorf or Marriot by Porter Davis 8008Aug 10, 2015 4:48 pm hh_hb_1981 garimasanchit Hi Everyone, We had our Day 1 of WOS appointment, even though we thought we were prepared still it was overwhelming. We are just getting stressed about structure of tender appointment, will appreciate if someone could advise how tender document is structured (by room or category e.g: tiles, electrical etc) and how is the process run. Any insight would be great. Do you mind sharing your selections and any cost upgrades that you know the details of? hh_hb_1981, we chose most things in the legian bali theme on PD website gallery for waldorf, The main ones are Nocturne Oak for all bathroom cabinetry Nocturne Oak in crystal gloss for kitchen overheads Gentle Beige Gloss for remaining kitchen cabinets Crystal Chalk for Essastone Access Chestnut in bricks Dhimba in wall colours and doors Blackbutt Manhattan flooring We didn't find out the cost of all upgrades like the carpet because credits for what is included are advised at tender. Our biggest costs were in electrical upgrades (Sitting at 18K), We chose to follow the wish list as it is easier to remove at tender than adding it in and not knowing the cost before hand is daunting. Is there anything in particular you would like to know the cost of? We are thinking of visiting the home show this weekend I suggest you do the same, as it may help you choose things to take up with PD or leave for post hand over. As an example I spoke to 2 security system companies today and concluded that I will be better off taking the Honeywell security system from PD. We are considering the Honeywell Tuxedo Touch for our security, particularly because it will enable some add on home automation (?post handover). Can I ask how much you were quoted for it and whether you are just doing security with it or more? Although, from memory, didn't sound like there was much stress for you 1st time anyway Hi Sliick Overall , we are happy with PD's building process However, you are right . It is quite stressful @ the tendering / contract stage We are not actually making up mind to use PD again mainly due to the House Design , can not find a perfect house design yet - although the Waldorf might be the most close one ........ (except the stair case ) Have you seen the new Waldorf B? http://www.porterdavis.com.au/homes/pre ... aldorf%20b It should have been called the Waldorf 'C' instead. lol Love the new facades too. Probably go with the Palladian if I was to choose again. Yes , the Waldorf B's stair case is what we prefer , but the floor plan is really for Bayside 's narrow block (15.2M) Regards the Palladian Facade , I did not see anything in real yet , hard to comment .............. I was especially interested in looking at their driveway. It has the (from what I can see) the fan pattern in bluestone cobblestones that I was particularly interested in. So I am very interested in going to have a look at the real thing if it exists.
