Its good and bad news I suppose but mostly good to be honest. Cant wait to get in.

But the way this is going we will get ourselves prepared for May and end up moving in at Xmas .

Makes me a little more confident that our builder may still get ours finished by mid May if yours thinks end of May and you are where your at.

There is nothing to say you have to move in straight away is there?

Will give you plenty of time to do some stuff outside.

I know that $ come into it, I just got my enclose invoice $100K

Our update on recent developments. I climbed up the builders rickety ladder this afternoon to take pics of the upper level. On the way down I had a itty bitty panic attack when ye old vertigo took over. Had to call for hubby for a bit of a reality check. Nothing like needing to use the WC to get down . Anyhow arrived on the ground safe and sound to deliver new pics . I swear I am not going up there again until the staircase is installed .

hmmm yes well less said about aerial shots the better. I'm glad I arrived back safe and sound! I was fine until I saw the way down again .

We haven't pushed the 75 vs 100 mm ... the builder told us he thought he could do 100 but given lower story is 75 mm hebel it is impossible to do 100mm on top. Don't know if we paid for it or not and will be meeting the SS on site tomorrow to discuss.

Given they have pushed forward the handover date we are rushing to get everything else done in time i.e. carpets, flooring, colours, paving, curtains etc.
We are on a short timeframe to organise the home theatre wiring at the moment so might see if they will throw something in to compensate for reduced thickness. I don't think it will make a great difference to R value but we'll see what he says .

BUT if we find out we have paid extra for less then we will certainly push the issue.

I am following your thread with great interest as we are a similiar stages. I cannot believe that you will be in by the end of May fantastic news and really they should be on site 6 days a week to achieve this. I think we will be in by September if lucky I call us the "part time house" all the builders seem to turn up once a week and that is it.

I will cheer you along for the next 8 weeks as your house takes shape. lots of photos and updates!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Colleen. Every time I look at that pic of the ladder I get flashback vertigo ... I'm not sure it was bravery so much as stupidity and yes my limbs were definitely shaking on the way down . It was pure determination and fear of looking a fool in front of the fire brigade that got me down .
