Re: BUILDING update 144Apr 05, 2008 5:26 pm DeeElle,
A house in five months. Very nice. Mine's still in council and I'd be happy just to get approval by the end of May! Cheers, Casa Demolition August 2009, Construction Started September 2009, Completed December 2010 Re: BUILDING update 145Apr 05, 2008 7:10 pm DeeElle,

Re: BUILDING update 147Apr 06, 2008 4:01 pm Hi D
Makes me a little more confident that our builder may still get ours finished by mid May if yours thinks end of May and you are where your at. There is nothing to say you have to move in straight away is there? Will give you plenty of time to do some stuff outside. I know that $ come into it, I just got my enclose invoice $100K ![]() Will look forward to more photo's as you progress Anne Grandview 36 on Beautiful Bribie Site Start Dec 5th 2007 Projected completion May 12th 2008 NOPE Handover 24th June 2008 Moved in 11th July 2008 Wating on one final thing - Still - Oct 2009 Re: BUILDING update 148Apr 09, 2008 12:22 am They seem to be steaming ahead.
Scaffolding went up on Sunday, the CB roof went on the upper storey today, and they have started sisalation on the upper walls. Some of the windows were also installed on the upper level today. Guttering looks like it has finished on upper story. Its starting to look like a house ![]() ![]() I think we might be on schedule to finish the upper story by end week ![]() Pics tomorrow. Re: BUILDING update 149Apr 12, 2008 8:17 pm Our update on recent developments. I climbed up the builders rickety ladder this afternoon to take pics of the upper level. On the way down I had a itty bitty panic attack when ye old vertigo took over. Had to call for hubby for a bit of a reality check. Nothing like needing to use the WC to get down

Yes on second thoughts it wasn't the wisest move. Its much easier going up than coming down ![]() DH is always going up there and I thought ... well if he can so can I ![]() ![]() ![]() I've got a sticker on our fridge saying 'women can do anything' Well yes ... we CAN .... if we want to ![]() ![]() Re: BUILDING update 152Apr 12, 2008 8:41 pm OMG!!!!
I'm sure i issued a warning a while back, to those who might attemp to take those "aerial" pictures of their houses!!! Glad you're ok though..... It looks great Dy, what ended up happening with the 75mm panels? ![]() Re: BUILDING update 153Apr 12, 2008 8:56 pm ![]() OMG!!!! I'm sure i issued a warning a while back, to those who might attemp to take those "aerial" pictures of their houses!!! Glad you're ok though..... It looks great Dy, what ended up happening with the 75mm panels? ![]() hmmm yes well less said about aerial shots the better. I'm glad I arrived back safe and sound! I was fine until I saw the way down again ![]() We haven't pushed the 75 vs 100 mm ... the builder told us he thought he could do 100 but given lower story is 75 mm hebel it is impossible to do 100mm on top. Don't know if we paid for it or not and will be meeting the SS on site tomorrow to discuss. Given they have pushed forward the handover date we are rushing to get everything else done in time i.e. carpets, flooring, colours, paving, curtains etc. We are on a short timeframe to organise the home theatre wiring at the moment so might see if they will throw something in to compensate for reduced thickness. I don't think it will make a great difference to R value but we'll see what he says ![]() BUT if we find out we have paid extra for less then we will certainly push the issue. Your house is looking great! Love those big windows to the family room. Wish we could have that. Looks like there are a couple of us here who are currently at that building stage.
