Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 16, 2011 9:04 pm Hi everyone, we have on our plans to get a drop down ceiling in our kitchen. Our house is up to the tile stage and the whole house has been painted and all cornices have been put up. We have also had our kitchen put in and this is when we noticed that we don't have a drop down ceiling. So I just wanted to know from people who have a dropped ceiling when theirs was put in? Have UE stuffed up or are we eager beavers? viewtopic.php?f=31&t=40976 Aug 26/10 -Land settle Oct 1-Signed UE Nov 4 -Site Cut 22 -Slab 26 -Frame Dec 17 -Lock Up Feb 1/11 -Fixing Mar 31+Apr 14 -PCI cancelled Re: Drop down ceiling. 2Feb 16, 2011 9:15 pm kpatch Hi everyone, we have on our plans to get a drop down ceiling in our kitchen. If the dropped down ceiling is shown on your plan, you have to get your builder to fix it. JB Drop down ceiling. 3Feb 16, 2011 10:32 pm Hi JB, I thought so. I've had visions of me cooking and then the whole dropped ceiling falling on my head after they just stick it to the current ceiling. How did they put it in afterwards? Did it take them long to do? Thanks for the advice. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=40976 Aug 26/10 -Land settle Oct 1-Signed UE Nov 4 -Site Cut 22 -Slab 26 -Frame Dec 17 -Lock Up Feb 1/11 -Fixing Mar 31+Apr 14 -PCI cancelled Re: Drop down ceiling. 6Feb 16, 2011 11:39 pm it didnt take that long really.it was more getting the tradies back. they made a wood frame. kicked some lovely holes in the ceiling. then a couple of weeks later the plasterer came back to do the ceilings and now just waiting for paint. the good news is it doesnt hold up other parts of the build. i have pics on my topic if you want to see When times get tough build a house...Our second build Re: Drop down ceiling. 7Feb 20, 2011 11:11 pm Hey Sharky55_shan, Thanks for your help.
