Bel & I did go to school together! How cool is that? What a small world We now have half a house of bricks!! With the weather being a bit dicey lately, the brickies have only really had 2 full days bricking and I'm amazed they've got so many up already! Really loving the external colours all come together. Always a bit nerve wracking hoping for the best when you see some small samples at the brick place. Here's a couple of pics. Eaves are in, cladding is on, air-conditioning ducting has gone in and site has been cleaned... Assuming all gets ticked off by council inspector, I believe gyprock is happening on Monday. Or should I say Hello me, myself & I? Either no one's checking in or you don't like what we're doing? Either way, in the vague possibilty someone gets something out of it, I'll keep updating Our build is flying by and even though we've been given a 30th August completion date, it appears we're going to be in before that (at this rate anyway). We now have a kitchen and our vanities are in. Tiling is happening as we speak but I haven't seen that yet (cannot wait till I do my drive-by tomorrow afternoon!!) Our decorative doors (front door & french doors) are scheduled to arrive tomorrow and once they're in, apparently the painting should commence. Just love your bi-folds probably not as much as you though Look forward to seeing your doors - not that many people have french doors these doors. Then the painters - you'd better start packing!! Re: Our Eden Brae Saville with a twist! - Kitchen's in! 37May 12, 2011 3:52 pm Hi K - I too am interested and do read your blog and thread It's looking great! Love the texture on the back of the kitchen island. It is different to the main cupboard colour isn't it? Hmmm off the see more pictures on the blog now! Gee EB are doing a good job in managing and organising the trades on site. It's flying along!!! Still not in. Don't ask!? Re: Our Eden Brae Saville with a twist! - Kitchen's in! 38May 12, 2011 4:02 pm Thank you lovely people I was feeling a little bit but I'm feeling the love again Bel, we chose Alaskan laminate for the back of the island. I had really worried it would look crap but I like it. Everything else is Polar White. How's your build going? Last I saw you had a roof!!! McLaren, thank you for your lovely comment about my blog. Sounds like your build is powering along too! Will check out your build thread jacknruby, best of luck with your build!! Yep we have a roof, but not a lot else. DH calls several times a day, emails and we are hoping that they get so sick of us that they will send trades our way. Apparantly we are waiting for an eave carpenter to finish the eaves and then they can straighten the frame and then do the electricals. Not sure how truthful that all is to be honest. I'm sure it's more lame excuses. I left a comment on your thread about a PCI Checklist Still not in. Don't ask!? I built with EB back on 2009.
