I'm considering an interesting property offering - a 1/2 built house. Apparently the original builder walked away from the project and the remaining owner wants to sell the unfinished house as is.
(I sense there's an interesting story behind this broken project but anyway ...)
It's a 35 SQ-ish double storey house - I went to the site and saw that:
- * Frames are done - for both stories
* First storey brick walls are complete
* Windows have gone in
The agent advises that the plumbing is completed.
The purchase price includes all current plans (which I've viewed, looks ok).
My question for the forum is - how much is the 1/2 built house + plans worth? I'm not a builder so I'd have to engage one.
The agent quotes a price that seems to value the house at around 60K - based on the market price for the land alone. Is that a fair price? Or am I better off with an empty land?
