Building the Monaco - Fairmont Homes - Trenches started 67Apr 09, 2011 4:38 pm Work has commenced earlier than expected. They started digging the trenches Friday afternoon and continued Saturday morning in the rain. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ They've started at the back of the house. This has given us a good idea of the size of our new backyard. It's not as much yard as before when our small 1960s home sat on the block but we'd wanted to have less garden to maintain. It was still a bit of a shock for my DH though. He couldn't sleep last night cos he was so worried that the backyard might be too small! Thought it could use a bit of a makeover. Re: Building the Monaco - Fairmont Homes - Trenches started 70Apr 11, 2011 9:40 am Theresa, we thought the same thing about our back yard when they started the digging. But now that the house is up, it is bigger than we thought. We didn't really get the full appreciation of its size until the bricks and roof were on! I am sure your DH will be suprised. ------------------------------------------------------ Handover: 14 December 2010 Current: Putting in plants! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Just a question...below is the piping for our laundry. I can make out the laundry trough drain in the foreground and the floor drain in the centre of the room behind it. The washing machine will be under the bench, adjacent the laundry trough, which is also built into the bench. Should there be another drain for the washing machine waste water pipe? I'd like to keep it looking neat with the washing machine pipes and taps under the bench. We will be the same...... Hopefully it is SLAB day for you tomorrow!!! Re: Building the Monaco - Fairmont Homes - Question??? 79Apr 13, 2011 11:49 pm Hey, Love your feed, glad you are off to a good start building after the disasters you endured with the demo!! You plan and selections are great!! Love the surfmist roof. Look forward to following your build Re: Building the Monaco - Fairmont Homes - Question??? 80Apr 14, 2011 12:40 am Hey Theresa, looking awesome hon. I'd ask about the laundry taps. Dont assume they'll be under bench. Ours were in the laundry trough. We had to drill a hole through side of our laundry bench & trough to get pipes etc through. That being said, Site supervisor drilled the holes at our request. He said "it's one of the traps for first time builders"... So basically i think unless you have asked specifically for your taps to be under bench they will be in bottom of trough. Hope this answers your question. there should be ss cable so you can pull up bore pump for service 1 3152 can someone with more experience give me their insight? land is pretty much flat its pretty much at the top of a hill. left and right neighbours are flat in line with my… 0 7466 2 4385 |
