Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 14, 2014 11:53 pm After accepting an offer on our current place we are now in the throws of planning our new build in Bedfordale. We are going for a timber frame 2 storey home to take advantage of the views of the block over the Perth plain. We are still finalising plans, but basically it will sit sort of like below; Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ One sticking point is getting a quote on a circa 9x9x3m shed/workshop. We were looking at a company and then found some issues with them previously going into administration, so we don't want to risk it. Another firm was shut except for 9-5 weekdays when we are at work. Any suggestions of reputable companies to go see? Any thoughts what sort of comparable cost we will be up for? Re: Build in Bedfordale - Where to get Shed Quotes From 2Jan 15, 2014 2:35 am There are a lot in Perth and quite a few represent national brands if you like, ie highline, ranbuild, etc. Just get lots of quotes and see who comes up best on price and quality. I purchased mine from VIP sheds, 7 x 12 x 3. Very reasonable cost. They only have standard sizing on their site, but call them as I'm certain they can cater for any size. Delivery was easy I had it dropped off at my father inlaws workshop. Otherwise they have a depot in Kewdale where you can arrange your own transport (with a hiab) or I'm sure they can also drop off to your location of choice for a fee. I'm sure their sheds are made by Sidach sheds (Tazzy based comp). From order to arrival was 12-14 days from memory. Extras - skylights, personal doors, roller or sliding doors, location of doors, windows, lean to, etc. There is also an app I saw from fair dinkum sheds that allows you to draw the shed you want and they (fd) provide you a quote on it. You then have the choice to do the slab/footings and assembly yourself with mates or getting someone to do it for you. Contractor approx prices Slab+footings around $35-45sqm Erection (that is what they call it depends on shape, frame style, but for mine which is relatively simple, the quotes turned out to be $60-75/sqm. I'm getting the concrete done, but putting it up myself. Good luck. The irony. I'm starting to wonder if this a Bimguys second account. 84 29358 Like with any service, they don't have to compete on price. They know the market rate for a particular service and offer it for a relatively same price. I am not a sparky… 1 3701 9 19186 |
