I wonder if it is very fiddly to move the little earthmover from island to island... surely if you're not careful you'll collapse the trenches! 5.5m Terrace House - Lightsview (Northgate SA) Moved in!! - 22 February 2013 /viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53455 Re: Bought a block in SA - we've started! page 14 292Sep 12, 2012 3:15 pm Juski, it was interesting watching the guy manouvering the earthmover over the trench, he moved forwards 'til the 'wheels' were half over the trench then swivelled the top around and moved backwards... but then again I guess it was still moving forwards... Yesterday I decided to whipper snipper the weeds that are getting long at the back of the block, had to put 2-stroke in first so I leant the snipper against a rock while I poured the fuel into the tank but it slipped a bit so I went to grab it and caught my middle finger between the rock and the snipper. Ouch! I had a very big blood blister come up immediately I had trouble starting the snipper (thought that would happen ) and in the end gave up and went home with a very sore finger and the weeds still intact! https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Bought a block in SA - we've started! page 14 293Sep 12, 2012 4:23 pm That,s fantastic news Yes all of that bad weather was so depressing,it stopped all progress Have they given you an estimated completion date? Look forward to seeing all of your pics Cheers Mel Building on 9 acres Re: Bought a block in SA - we've started! page 14 295Sep 12, 2012 7:42 pm Mel, I don't have a completion date and I think they are a bit reluctant to give them even when it is close to finishing. The contract says 5-6 months from slab pour, hopefully it will be closer to 5 months as the building trade seems to be a bit slow at the moment. I would love to move in at the end of January. Gogo, Saturday is the day I will have to get the bubbly out for the slab party too and here is the pic I said I would put up for you Gogo: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Unfortunately I couldn't find a pic of the water coming out. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Bought a block in SA - we've started! page 14 297Sep 12, 2012 10:56 pm we put some smaller pebbles between the river pebbles to give the impression of a dry creek with a pond at the end Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Bought a block in SA - we've started! page 14 298Sep 13, 2012 12:15 pm https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Bought a block in SA - we've started! page 14 299Sep 13, 2012 1:58 pm I'm not on for a few days and look what's happening!!!! Great to see that they have finally started and it looks like they are making good progress. All ready for the big slab pour on Saturday. Seems to be popular with them, ours was poured on a Saturday too! Good luck with getting a finish date out of them. Is C your site supervisor? I tried many times and couldn't get anything definite out of him until the week before PCI! He would only give me an approximate timeframe (early August, turning into mid August later on).
