Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 07, 2011 9:05 am Howdy guys and gals, My wife and I a looking to settle a block of land today and we are really excited!! YAY I was wondering what is state of their land does people expect when they settle? The reason I asked is that there are visible grass/weed all over our block (about an ankle deep, maybe a tad higher) as well as rubbish being dumped, possibly from nearby constructions, when we visited our block on Thursday. We tried to get in contact with our costumer relation officer and has not returned any of our calls and email. We waited till Saturday, but still noticed the grass has not been cut, although some of the rubbish has been cleared. We then went to the nearby sales office and spoke to a sales consultant. She was really helpful and promised to rectify the issue with our costumer relation officer. I understand that rubbish should be cleared before settlement but is some grass/weed acceptable? If so, what is the general expectation of the builders? Do they expect cleared land or short grass/weed acceptable for them? Thank you for your help and any suggestions/comments would be very much appreciated. Best regards, Taz. P.S. I am not sure if this topic has been covered before in this forum. If so, I apologised in advance for creating a double thread as I was not successful searching similar topics. Re: Land settlement, what to expect? 2Feb 07, 2011 9:14 am Hi Taz, You should expect whats detailed in your contract. If clearing of the land is expressed (in the contract) then all I would do is take a picture day before if your not happy. Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum. Place is full of wierdos/pedos thought internet may help but I suppose I'll try my luck with someone in person. Cheers. I tried… 0 6443 Need advice on the backyard plan above. Should I excavate and cut all of the dirt to level with the house slab or semi-excavate as per photo above? Both left and right… 0 24865 13 6632 |
