what things should I take care when constructing house

Hi Guys,
I am constructing a house at Ponds, Sydney and going to sign contract with Jadson Homes. I am wondering what things should I take care to avoid problems/disputes as I read from forum that many people are not happy with Jadson Hmes (in fact with most builders). Should I put condition like independent valuer (Architech or some one like hime who can inspect property and verify there is no problem) before making any progressive payment.
Any advice will be helpful
Thank you

Hi motanihatim. It was smart of you to think of the ways to prevent building disputes from happening before signing a contract with Jadson Homes. Considering not everyone is doing that (based on the queries we are receiving). Follow these pointers: be clear with timeframe and work hours; establish quality of work; or you can add early termination provisions. If you want more info, you can check it here: https://www.contractsspecialist.com.au/building-contract-dispute-sydney/

With all due respect, why are you thinking of building with a company that has such bad reviews?

We made the same mistake last year, thinking that we would be the exception to the rule and basically we have learnt the hard way that a leopard doesnt change it's spots.

There are some good companies out there in sydney with great reviews. trust me, no matter what inspection criteria you have in your contract, if your builder doesnt care about quality and customer service, nothing can protect you!
