Sorry for the lack of posts, but we can't get in to see whats going on at the moment as it is just the painter and the carpenter doing their bit (painting ceilings & doors and doing the shelving and skirtings) so these things take a long time to complete in our mega house. Hopefully I might be able to get a picture today or Friday when I pop acrossl We reselected our kitchen colours and have now upgraded to Qstone Luna Stone benchtops, Laminex White cupboards and Formica Brushed Silver Kickboards. I must say I am much happier with this colour scheme that our originial one...I can't wait. I have also finalised our paint selections for the house. White Duck 1/4 for the main areas and then feature walls in each of the bedrooms, a separate colour for the kitchen and another contrasting colour for the TV Recess. All up 6 different colours - including pink, purple, brown, green and blue...WICKED!!!! Dh and I are currently doing the math as to whether we can also afford to upgrade our paving to Liquid Limestone (as the pavers we originally selected are unavailable). The bench upgrade took a rather sizeable chunk out of our savings so we shall have to wait and see if we can stretch things. I am quietly confident though. Other than that not much to report....except a $*(@^$(*^ fox took the head of our drake and my husband managed to boil our marron, but these are stories for another day! What really pi$$es me off though is the sheer waste of it. I could understand if the fox killed our duck and then ate it, but it didn't. It just ripped its head off and left it. They are horrible creatures and I urge anyone who sees one on the road to speed up and run over them cause they are the cruelest creatures on earth (second only to humans I suppose). I won't horrify you with stories of what they have done in the past to our chickens and lambs, but it is the same story - they kill for the pleasure of killing. DAMN FOXES, just you wait til we get back to the farm - then you will be sorry! As for the marron, well it is a sad story too. Our aquarium sprung a leak so we had to temprarily house our fish and marron in alternate accommodation. The marron was in a small aquarium and because of the reduced water volume he was suffering a bit from the cold (dormant). My well intentioned husband put the aquarium heater in, but unfortunatly it hadn't been used in awhile and unbeknowst to us it was malfunctioning. It was supposed to turn itself off once it reached a certain temp, but it didn't and kept heating the water.
