My frontage is supposed to be the 17m lot (can't remember what it actually is, but I have 2 metres to the fence from the garage plus the metre on the dead side if that gives you an idea at all). The block is 587 sqm from memory. You'll have to go into one of the instructional threads that help you out with uploading pics. Mclaren Wow lots of progress since I last checked!! Render looks great and your bath looks like it has a nice base to rest on. Won't be long now .. the time will just fly!! Hey Mclaren! They've started the tiling yesterday and should be finished this week sometime. Caught the tiler yesterday and cleared up something he'd been pondering regarding my ensuite shower. Was wondering if I wanted the tiles to start level with the bathroom floor or the shower floor (chose the shower) and just which colour tile to do across the thin drop down step (chose the black floor tiles there to make it look continuous). And that bath shouldn't have a problem holding me with a base like that courts HI everyone looks like we are very similar... im building in perth with homebuyers (ultimate centro with some changes) we reached lock up about 2 weeks ago! they just laid concrete in the garage. the tilers are scheduled to start this week apparently. they havent told us when handover will be. hoping 6 weeks?? your house looks great!!! im new to the forum so i might have to create my own blog Hi courts! The Centro is a good looking plan (like all the Ultimate selections in my opinion!). I haven't got the concrete down in the garage yet but as I've mentioned above, they've started tiling. Early November should be handover which adds up to about 6 or 7 weeks so we must be at similar stages. Good luck with the rest of your build. Let us know if you make a thread up for us to have a gander at sometime. Re: Snaggers Home - LOCK UP!!! Let us know if you make a thread up for us to have a gander at sometime. seems like we are at very similar stages! We visited today and our tiling is finished. I'm a bit concerned though, they didn't quite line up the feature tiles properly in my ensuite shower. I don't know if I should let it slide or if I should be asking them to fix it? I should make a thread and post some photos! it would be good to get some advice Our paving has been done too. Our crossover is quite big which is annoying as now we need to have that paved once we have our keys! what's your take on doing crossover before handover? I have asked if there's any restrictions. it would be nice to have someone do it while finals are being done. It's not like pavers outside will get in the way of things happening inside! you'd think!! but you know what they're like Re: Snaggers Home - LOCK UP!!! Woot Woot!!! 229Sep 17, 2011 11:13 pm Yeah I'm not sure what they'd say to that. Get approval from the company and you shouldn't have a problem, but they might use insurance or something as a reason to not do it, although it is on council land so dunno if you could get away with it from that point of view. I don't have a footpath on my side of the street so the whole driveway is getting done by the builder. If you like, stick a cppl of pics up here to show us the general picture but I reckon you should start your own thread My painter was at my place on Friday getting ready to start so will start looking a little more homely very soon! Will get some more pics of my tiling up soon too. I've also put a mactress, rangehood and washing machine on layby so pretty much all set furniture and appliance wise to move in Re: Snaggers Home - LOCK UP!!! Nothings changed in the Kitchen lately except that they've white washed the wall above the bench where the splashback will go, which isn't really photo worthy Painter is there (hopefully) so should be able to get some pics and you guys can help me watch paint dry. Woot Woot!!! 236Sep 20, 2011 10:41 am Hi Snagger, Thought I'd post seeing as I've checked out your thread here. House looks great, you're really going for the technology steps arent you. Loving the feature tiles, I'm having similar, well kind of, in my new house, I'm having black, grey, glass look rectangle ones. I'm going for floor to ceiling tiling in the bathroom and ensuite and having the hob all the way round the bath with a feature strip on the front face of the bath and above the bath below the window. Going to Kitchen place this Friday to finalise my selections for the cabinetry and waiting on the lovely Council for my title to proceed any further. Floor to wall tiling would be nice, but for my first house its something that doesn't really need to be there. As you've noticed I'd rather spend the extra cash on some of the other little luxury features and technology. Re: Snaggers Home - LOCK UP!!! Woot Woot!!! 239Sep 20, 2011 10:13 pm Yes, This is my first built house too, but third house in total Only going for the floor to ceiling as it's something that doesn't work very well happening after the house is built and any electrical work I have members of my family who can do it makes it easier and cheaper for me overall. Bit easier on cleaning too then again you may not be doing much of that lol! Still have to work out the rest of the fit out too!
