Re: Building our dream home.. walls no longer bare! 743Oct 06, 2008 9:53 am how exciting! ours is this Thursday
they are squeezing in Kev's inspection alongside. not sure if this is right but I guess this will save some time. VJ have you lined up tradies for driveay mailbox etc? X mas is just 10 wks away!!! Re: Building our dream home.. walls no longer bare! 744Oct 06, 2008 1:05 pm Thanks everyone!
We're very excited and at the same time nervous... because the CM was claiming all the issues that we raised re: the electricals were invalid, as they only relied on the plans. Yes, he was right, but that's because their drafting team made a change to the final plans without our instruction. The electrical plans attached to the contract was correct about the location of the HT light switch... but when we asked them to correct the missing data points in the study and HT, they accidentally moved the light switch! NOw we have to probably bring the copies of the plans and explain to them what happened. We went to the house this weekend... kitchen benchtop is not yet in, same with the balcony railings. Probably they were waiting for our SS to come back from his leave. And... our sofa from King will arrive today. We could no longer defer the delivery... so we had to re-arrange the furnitures in our current rental unit last night to be able to accommodate 3 sofa (one 3-seater, one 2-seater and one 1-seater). Good thing we were able to defer the delivery of our dining table! The lamp and cabinets from Natuzzi will be delivered this November... so hopefully it would be in our new house by then. vpande, great to hear that your walkthrough is this Thursday! Good luck!!!! Quote: they are squeezing in Kev's inspection alongside. not sure if this is right but I guess this will save some time. so what do you mean by this... Kev doing his inspection on the same day? that's what we're planning to do.. is it advisable to do the independent inspection on the same day of our walk through.. or do it on another day? what do you think? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Re: Building our dream home.. walls no longer bare! 751Oct 07, 2008 10:01 pm VJ, I would say what a wonderful house you have..and I know you have...but yet again I cant see any of your photos why do I have to miss out on all the best bits.

We really wanted cladding but unfortunatly PD don't do it with our house Yes, I remember now Bel. Looks like PD is quite strict with their facades. It must be very frustrating for you... because that's a 'must-have' for me.. But are you going to have some rendered areas? Mrs B, why can't you see any of the photos? is it to do with your PC? Quote: I agree with Bel, the facade is simply stunning. Hope they put some permanent balcony railings on donuts, can't wait to see the house with the balcony railings. that's what's missing outside of the house... but i reckon it will be there within the week, as our CSR confirmed our walk through on the 15th! yeepee!!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping!
