You are doing the right thing though and making sure you have a perfect (well close to it) house, I'm sure the wait will be easily forgotten when you are enjoying your beautiful house. Just saw this update VJ - So it means ur not in for Xmas ... What a pain - Iam sure it is going to be worth it to get it all right and have these issues fixed now rather than have them fixed after u move in . Re: Building our dream home.. walls no longer bare! 897Dec 07, 2008 9:24 pm Sorry for not updating you guys......
been very busy at work...... and not inspired at the moment due to the delays in our handover... we were fortunate to drop by last Saturday and saw the house opened. a tradie was there and we came in to see what were fixed. nothing much, unfortunately. hope that they will keep their promise of fixing all isses by the 12th of Dec. we are still hoping to be in before Christmas. we rang the tiler and he said he would be available after the 12th. our dining table (yes, the Pyramid!) and chairs were already delivered last Friday (5th).. couldn't move the delivery anymore, as the supplier had already store them for more than a month now we stored it in the garage, so our car needs to be parked outside. we were undecided whether to open the wrapping of the table (heavily wrapped) in order to see if it is in good order. what will happen if we find out when we move that there was damage? our new lounge set is also in the family room... so no more area for the kids to play anymore. my father will be coming this coming weekend (14th Dec) and we don't know how an we survive in a 2-bedroom unit with 5 adults and 2 kids (and all the new furnitures inside the house!) if by mid-week (around 17th) we don't see much progress to the house.. then that's it! my patience is running out and we are so stresse out already. we were planning to have a nice Christmas in our house with some relatives from overseas. i'm not sure if it would still push through for now, still hoping to see more progress this coming week... and get the keys before Christmas (even if we don't have carpets to the bedrooms this coming Christmas)... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Imagine living at the house and always seeing those mistakes! Hang in there, it won't be long. Good luck.
